A very special evening My husband and I chose Elena's for dinner on our wedding anniversary and we had a lovely evening. The food was excellent (as always), the waiter was very friendly and he even gave us two glasses of delicious cava on the house to celebrate our anniversary! Visited today with husband and kids. Staff friendly and attentive. Food delicious. We are frequent visitors to Spain and enjoy tapas. This is one of the best we have eaten outside of Spain. Highly recommend goats cheese, spinach and mushroom croquettes and meatballs. Free appetiser was a nice touch too. We will be back!

Super service, lovely place and you feel like home, it was a little bit pricey but when you taste it you will know why. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

First time visit to Elena's and have to say it was really very nice. Very authentic Spanish with Tapas dishes firing out swiftly from the kitchen which were both tasty and piping hot. You can’t fail to enjoy lunch here When you walk in you know it’s going to be good at this lovely Spanish restaurant. The smell is wonderful, decor homely, and nice seating that is not cramped at all. Then comes the friendly family feel service, and then great great food. We ate for three with a bottle of wine and when the bill came it felt totally reasonable on the wallet. Take your friends or family. You can’t fail to enjoy lunch here. It’s great

Amazing food, decent portions. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The background music is gentle and low, allowing a comfortable conversation and a quiet space to appreciate the food. Quiet restaurants are very rare, so this is my favourite place now.

Spanish Sunday Brunch -Oh, you want to! Well established for evening and later in the afternoon, Elena’s also has a cracking Spanish flavoured brunch menu. Freshly made tortilla like nothing you’ve tasted here ❤️💃🏻 Loads of other options, down to fruit salad and sandwich mixto (ham and cheese toasty 😄). Really lovely staff and a relaxed environment to start your day ☀️

This is a gem! Lots of well-cooked Northern Spanish food, with a lot of extras prepared in-house, rather than bought in jars. Lots of tapas, but the paellas are signature dishes. Drink/cocktail menus good too. Busy weekends, but quiet midweek - surprising given the quality and authenticity of what's on offer.

Had a most enjoyable lunch. Feed was absolutely tremendous. Loved the thin cut calamari but the onions are not a good companion. The Pulpo was the best I’ve had in this country. The crema Catalan was to die for, the wine was excellent value, the goats cheese salad was tremendous. Patatas bravas good but not a potato I would have chosen. The service was excellent. A little quiet which was surprising as the food was fantastico!

Fantastic restaurant ideal for arena We had a lovely meal here, everywhere else around was full and wasn’t taking last minute bookings but they managed to get us in. We sat at the bar for tapas which was cool. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Food arrived quickly and was of great quality, albeit a little pricey. However overall a great place to eat and well worth it. Ideal if attending events at the OVO hydro.

Tuesday night meal Superb service, efficient and friendly but never intrusive. Good choice of drinks, quality of food was excellent. The food was true to the Spanish style, not just deep fried dishes. Good portion sizes, slightly larger than many tapas.

We were warmly welcomed by name as we entered having booked online and said we had a dog. They were so dog friendly, seating us in an area with more space and bringing a bowl of water quickly. We enjoyed non alcoholic sangria. So great to have a range of choice of non alcoholic drinks. Also a good range of vegetarian options. I’d highly recommend the home made ice cream.

Tasty food that is 2x larger than tapas, 2½ plates would be what I recommend. The dessert topped off a great meal. And the service was top class! Will definitely be back.

An amazing evening of great tapas and good friends!! Elena put on an amazing afternoon (and evening!) for us and friends to celebrate a big birthday. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble and the food and wine just kept on coming at a lively pace. The dishes served were all so varied and yet the one thing they did have in common was that they were all straight out of the top drawer! Her descriptions of the ingredients she uses and where she sources them from was quite incredible: little things like that definitely make the difference. I couldnt recommend Elena's enough. Came here with 5 people and overall was a really great experience. Service was friendly and reasonably efficient. Kept us topped up with drinks and were quick to clear plates as required. We ordered 11 plates in total, including the calamari, mussels, deep friend courgettes, chicken skewers, churros, mixed croquettes, Iberian ham. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Also offers a good selection of drinks. Definitely a place to go for dinner if you find yourself in the west end.

Awesome place and real spanish food!!! I can see is my favourite spanish restaurant in Glasgow because the food taste as my home.country. reasonable price for the equality of the products(£15 per head eating 6 raciones for 4 people )

Our best restaurant meal in months! A great meal: a wide range of raciones (more generous than usual tapas); we enjoyed every single one we chose as they were cooked to perfection to well-balanced recipes. Our after dinner coffees and liqueurs were enjoyed in a relaxed comfortably-fed haze (the Belmonte coffee and anis del mono liqueur were both great revelations). The staff were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic without ever being intrusive: a bonus that they were careful and skilled in checking that dishes would not trigger one person's allergy. Comfortable and unpretentious - I could not suggest a single improvement. My only regret is that I hadn't eaten there previously!

Amazing option as breakfast with the best taste of Spain at Elena’s Tasteful and vibrant tastes, original plates from Spain breakfast, with options for all! I really enjoy my meal. It’s all incredible, I want have all!! I do recommend the best option as breakfast, staff lovely and everything accurate. I love this place. I visited this restaurant today for lunch. Seems all trace and trace and social distancing in place, all staff were wearing masks. Were given a table outside, service was a bit slow.. but to be fair the restaurant was busy, one of our drinks was forgotten and the staff had to be reminded. Food did not come out all at once, so we were unable to share and enjoy... which was a shame... as the food was great, hot and enjoyable. Everywhere seemed clean and tidy, staff were friendly and polite.... would I recommend, yes 100%, will I be revisiting... again yes 100%.

One Word WoooW!!!! 1 German and 4 from Spain had dinner there. All dishes was amazing tasty and very kind service. Preis is also very good. Food is excellent. Add to that the staff having an impromptu dance. If they are that happy at their work then they must be doing something right!😄 A must try for authentic Spanish food. Vegetarian options: Plenty available.

Elena's Spanish Bar & Restaurant Glasgow Highly enjoyed dining at Elena's in Glasgow. Beverage: The glass of Organic Macabeo Sobre Lias, Tierra de Castilla, Torre Solar La Mancha, Spain 7.75 £ for a large glass was fresh and crisp. Appetizer: Albondigas de ternera caseras (homemade meatballs), the meatballs and sauce was excellent! 7.50£ Salad: Mezclum de lechugas (fresh picked lettuce/goats cheese/nuts/strawberry) was superb! 9.50£ Main: Chuletas de Cordero a la parrilla (grilled lamb chops) was served with fried potatoes, grilled tomato and padron peppers, the 3 vegetables would have benefited from a light sprinkle of sea salt. 17.00£ Dessert: Crema catalana (creme brulee) 7£ was clumpy but flavorful. Service was very good until the end when it became scattered and the staff did not appear to be communicating well with each other regarding our order. Quality for price is very good.

Amazing Flavours! We have eaten here before and as usual the food is SO full of flavour. To begin with two small free tapas are brought to the table while we ordered. We ordered 5 tapas between two of us and this was more than ample. Whilst I always choose the mixed croquetas, next time I am going to choose one of the unmixed options - just for a change. The breaded asparagus in garlic was amazing. The Blancp Leiawashed everything down a treat, and the tarta santiago was amazing. As usual we look forward to the next time!

Without a doubt, the best tapas I've eaten in Glasgow We came here for Saturday lunch and arrived at 12:30. We were quickly seated and offered drinks. As in some other places, even in Spain, staff knowledge of dry and medium sherry was scanty. I showed the waiter a photo on my phone of Tio Pepe by Gonzalez Byass to no avail. We did notice eventually they had a Manzanilla and Pedro Ximénez available on the menu, so it was resolved and we had Manzanilla and an Estrella Damm (Bottled as there was a problem with the draught beer). We ordered and the food came very quickly: Croquetas, Gambas al Ajillo, Chorizo a la Sidra, Ensalada de Pimientos asados and Esparragos trigueros empanados sobre Ali-Oli. All were perfect in presentation and flavour and I doubt if they could be better anywhere. Wine was reasonably priced at £22.50 for a Rioja Rosado. This was followed by Crema Catalana, coffee and Soberano brandy. Altogether a memorable meal. The only fly in the ointment was the service, which was helpful but rather lumbering. Our waiter, I guess, was fairly new and had to be reminded at times. This would not prevent our going back, however.

Great wee authentic place. All the food was phenomenal and very friendly nice staff. Was great to see all the staff sit down together for lunch - just like you see in restaurants in Spain. Great laidback vibe. We will definitely be back!

What a find! Really fantastic, authentic Spanish food. The seafood paella was sensational and the tortilla starter was the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Lovely staff too. There’s a lot of eateries in Finnieston Hydro strip. This is the best imho.

Had a lovely meal here for 1st time and was very impressed. Service was excellent and so was the cooked to order food. Prices are reasonable and the staff are all friendly and helpful. I'm a wheelchair user and they had no problem finding a place for it once I was seated at the table. Would definitely eat there again.

I liked everything here. Service was available but unobtrusive and tactful. A complimentary tapas is included and changes daily. The raciónes offered here are larger than tapas. I asked about the dishes from the north and heard the 'Rabas' are Calamari with onions. The adobitos which I think was lightly battered pieces of hake tasted fresh and light. Apparently it's a southern dish. The grilled vegetables were artistically presented. I liked it here enough to stay for pudding. The crema catalana was light and fluffy and I left completely full. Decor here is light, airy and relaxed, neither rustic nor brash modern, a bit like being near the sea. Mixed, fairly quiet clientele and a couple of locals at the bar. It felt exactly like a nice Spanish restaurant in Glasgow! Update: Oct 2019. I've eaten here twice now. Since my first visit it's won awards. One girl had an attitude unsuited to front of house service but apart from that everything still good.

Cannot deny the food was absolutely incredible, really enjoyed every single dish! Happened upon this place because we were in the area for a wedding, so sadly unlikely we will return, but would definitely recommend and if we were back in Glasgow I’m sure we’d seek it out!

Went for dinner to this restaurant and was generally very pleased with the experience. The staff were all so kind and attentive. There doesn't seem to be a server dedicated to your table, so everyone helps out if you need something. The peppers were a bit over salted, but I'm sure with beer that would have been amazing. I recommend trying the chorizo, octopus and homemade ice cream. We'll be coming back for the paella when time allows and also to try their weekend Spanish breakfast.

A little bt of Spanish quality in Glasgow This visit was a birthday meal for a mix of vegetarian, vegan and meat eaters. Elena's catered for it in an easy and relaxed way. The first table we were offered was too close to the servery and the toilets. Having pointed this out we were moved to a more appropriate table for our party. The mix tapas was interesting and well presented, the salmon was nicely cooked and the baby potatoes and vegetables well cooked. The paella was vegan and my first outing with a non meat paella, however it was savoury, tasty and very enjoyable. The Rioja was served at room temperature, a good wine fragrant with violets and wild herbs, with raspberry and dark fruit and then spicy leather and some chocolate thoroughly enjoyable.

Great tasting tapas on the becoming very trendy Old Dumbarton Road! Seats outside to enjoy a wine in the sun or ample seating inside for a cozy get together with friends. Fast service and great selection of food and drinks

This was our second time visiting Elena's while on a trip to Glasgow, and we've always had an excellent experience. Great food, excellent service, and caters amazingly for those who need gluten-free dishes. We will be back.

My husband and I walked into Elena's today to enjoy a very filling and delicious Spanish Sunday Brunch. A beautiful little neighbourhood cafe/bar/restaurant on the far corner of Regent Moray Street, a stone's throw away from Kelvin Grove Gallery and Museum.
We were warmly greeted by Elena herself, she definitely brought a wee bit of Spanish sunshine to our table on a wet Glasgow morning. The rest of the team were equally friendly and attentive, giving us really good service and chat.
I had heard a lot of good things about the Brunch and I can safely say it was delicious. See photos below. One of the best brunches in the area, for sure, if not Glasgow. Authentic home cooked Spanish food. It was great to try something a little different.
My husband had mushrooms, patatas bravas and eggs, perfect for his vegetarian requirements, I had Spanish cheese and ham toastie with eggs and patatas bravas. It was so tasty and so big too. Excellent value. The eggs were done perfectly to allow you to dip your patatas bravas into the soft runny yolks. I also had a lovely freshly squeezed orange juice. I can see why the restaurant is so popular, deservedly so! Definitely worth checking out. Food standards and service were second to none. All served up in a homely wee Spanish restaurant. 5* Thank you Elena and team. We will be back.

Very Impressive 1st visit I have walked past Elena's hundreds of times while heading to Finnieston to eat, I will never make that mistake again. My husband and I went for lunch around 3PM on Tuesday 28th July. The restaurant was busy and thankfully we where able to get a table without a booking. Our host was friendly and attentive despite doing all front of house duties solo. This man never stopped the whole time we where there. Service was fast and friendly and despite how busy our host was he still made sure we where enjoying our meal and quickly responded to additional food and drinks requests. We ordered a variety of dishes including, chicken, prawns, tortilla and goat's cheese everything was delicious. The bread basket was fresh, tasty and plentiful, perfect to mop up the oil from our delicious garlic prawns. The little Russian salad presented by our host was a delicious surprise, a nice little touch. I'm sure this will be the 1st of many visits to Elena's as we thoroughly enjoyed every dish, drinks, service and the atmosphere all for a very reasonable price. Great value for money.

Three full plates + dessert for a tenner and good gluten free options WITHOUT a surcharge. Great value for money but not because of quantity alone--great food. It's different than the Mexican-style cuisine I'm used to back home but very, very good.

Visited during lunch so was lovely and quiet. Very nice clean, welcoming restaurant. Alcohol free drinks were lovely. Food was delicious especially the desserts. Service was great, staff very friendly. Would definitely come back.

Fantastic seafood and great staff. Just had the finest meal in Europe in years, My son, daughter in law and I had the most wonderful sea food platter. Absolutely crammed with lobster, langoustines, crab, prawns , cockles, mussels and the tenderest squid I have tasted. Easily fed 3 but could also serve 4. Brilliant seafood at a fantastic price, will be back, also serving staff were brilliant and laid back. Best of luck in the future!

Soup, sandwich & sun Wandering past at noon and spotted their lunchtime meal deal. It was something a bit different so in we went. Ordered seafood soup & sandwich, with a cerveza plus a side of sachi papas. Even the sun came out to make it feel even more like we were in Spain! Super service too.

Truly authentic Spanish food. Everything is made fresh even the ice creams. We chose 2 dishes each some olives and bread and we enjoyed every one. We couldn't pick a favourite. We were given a free tapas which was a lovely touch. We also tasted a selection of deserts which were fantastic.
The service was friendly also. We will return. Highly recommended

Dropped in for something to eat after visiting Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum - only a short walk.
Had brunch. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.

We were given a wee complimentary cream of asparagus soup when we sat down. Was delightful.
Pulpo a la Gallega was delicious but for £18 I think the portion was a bit too small. Gambas a la Plancha were lovely but came with a sauce which wasn't mentioned on the menu. The sauce was a lemon butter type sauce which was nice but too lemony for me. I dipped my sliced potatoes from my Pulpo a al Gallega dish into the butter lemon sauce which I enjoyed. The Tostado with crushed tomatoes, again lovely but the bread wasn't toasted enough so they were a bit soggy. Chicken wings "Spanish style" we're just plain chicken wings. Pulpo a la Brasa was good. The mashed potato was gorgeous! Pork belly was a special and tasty but just a wee bit dry at the ends and too chewy for me but the rest of the pork was lovely moist and the fat melted in the mouth. Yum.
Ordered a litre of Sangria which was nice but there was absolutely no kick to it and for £20 I expected a wee buzz at least. Ordered a small glass of Rioja which was beautiful. Will definitely go back but just get wine and stick to seafood.
