Went for dinner to this restaurant and was generally very pleased with the experience. The staff were all so kind and attentive. There doesn't seem to be a server dedicated to your table, so everyone helps out if you need something. The peppers were a bit over salted, but I'm sure with beer that would have been amazing. I recommend trying the chorizo, octopus and homemade ice cream. We'll be coming back for the paella when time allows and also to try their weekend Spanish breakfast.

We were warmly welcomed by name as we entered having booked online and said we had a dog. They were so dog friendly, seating us in an area with more space and bringing a bowl of water quickly. We enjoyed non alcoholic sangria. So great to have a range of choice of non alcoholic drinks. Also a good range of vegetarian options. I’d highly recommend the home made ice cream.

An amazing evening of great tapas and good friends!! Elena put on an amazing afternoon (and evening!) for us and friends to celebrate a big birthday. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble and the food and wine just kept on coming at a lively pace. The dishes served were all so varied and yet the one thing they did have in common was that they were all straight out of the top drawer! Her descriptions of the ingredients she uses and where she sources them from was quite incredible: little things like that definitely make the difference. I couldnt recommend Elena's enough. Great Sunday Brunch Visited Sunday morning for family and friends brunch. We had eaten here before, but always later in the day. Nice selection of freshly made juices, my pineapple and mint was very good. I also tried the strawberry juice, first time that I’ve had fresh strawberry juice. We had quite a selection of dishes as we were a table of 10. The dishes came out of the kitchen one by one as they were ready, just like the later in the day food we’ve had here before. Would definitely return.

I really can't recommend her in 100 paragraphs but in summary she regained and was able to help me from my financial mess to a stable and financial balance. Perfect Saturday evening for two!! Was looking for somewhere to go as a mini celebration for two on a Saturday night and decided on Elena’s due to recommendations and that I’ve been wanting to go for ages. Was not disappointed! Our table wasn’t ready, which was cool, we were sat at the bar and our tab was opened without asking! Beer and Gin and tonic was delicious! Was seated in a perfect table for us in the corner behind the door. My other half is not that adventurous with food, so we compromised on a selection of sharing plates that we could both enjoy! So much food to share, I accompanied mine with a delicious red wine. Favourite dishes were the ribs, brie and salmon cubes, Spanish omelette and chicken skewers. I love that everything comes as they are ready providing a continuous flow of hot food. On this occasion the bread came last after asking twice, which was surprising others seemed to get their bread voice to accompany their plates. The whole evening was not rushed at all, after eating we ordered another couple of drinks and continued to enjoy the talented guitarist in the background. Good service and ambiance. Perfect for date night or girls night I look forward to returning to Elena’s.

Service is first class. Lovely friendly staff who kept us well informed and we're very attentive.
We were given a wee complimentary cream of asparagus soup when we sat down. Was delightful.
Pulpo a la Gallega was delicious but for £18 I think the portion was a bit too small. Gambas a la Plancha were lovely but came with a sauce which wasn't mentioned on the menu. The sauce was a lemon butter type sauce which was nice but too lemony for me. I dipped my sliced potatoes from my Pulpo a al Gallega dish into the butter lemon sauce which I enjoyed. The Tostado with crushed tomatoes, again lovely but the bread wasn't toasted enough so they were a bit soggy. Chicken wings "Spanish style" we're just plain chicken wings. Pulpo a la Brasa was good. The mashed potato was gorgeous! Pork belly was a special and tasty but just a wee bit dry at the ends and too chewy for me but the rest of the pork was lovely moist and the fat melted in the mouth. Yum.
Ordered a litre of Sangria which was nice but there was absolutely no kick to it and for £20 I expected a wee buzz at least. Ordered a small glass of Rioja which was beautiful. Will definitely go back but just get wine and stick to seafood.

This is a gem! Lots of well-cooked Northern Spanish food, with a lot of extras prepared in-house, rather than bought in jars. Lots of tapas, but the paellas are signature dishes. Drink/cocktail menus good too. Busy weekends, but quiet midweek - surprising given the quality and authenticity of what's on offer.

Toured Andalusia a few weeks ago so think the selection and quality of tapas at Elena's is very good, authentic & great quality (apart from the Glasgow weather outside, you could easily be in Spain!). Portions were good, staff knowledgeable, helpful and service quick. I'd recommend to anyone!

We'll be back As newbies to tapas we liked the look of this place. Staff guided us re choices and we enjoyed what we picked. 5 items from the menu was more than enough. Very tasty and delicious. Lovely wine with the meal, attentive staff and a good, family atmosphere.

What a find! Really fantastic, authentic Spanish food. The seafood paella was sensational and the tortilla starter was the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Lovely staff too. There’s a lot of eateries in Finnieston Hydro strip. This is the best imho.

Truly authentic Spanish food. Everything is made fresh even the ice creams. We chose 2 dishes each some olives and bread and we enjoyed every one. We couldn't pick a favourite. We were given a free tapas which was a lovely touch. We also tasted a selection of deserts which were fantastic.
The service was friendly also. We will return. Highly recommended

This was our second time visiting Elena's while on a trip to Glasgow, and we've always had an excellent experience. Great food, excellent service, and caters amazingly for those who need gluten-free dishes. We will be back.

An exceptional lunch! The Spanish tapas were all excellent from the homemade meatballs to the fried zucchini to the sautéed mushrooms. The service was world class and we’d go back in a heartbeat!

Fantastic, Amazing, Fabulous and all the other good things. This was the most fabulous place. The food was excellent, great choices and brilliant recommendations from the staff. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially our waitress Nidia who was an absolute super star. . The various croquettes were stunning and the garlic prawns were to die for, we should have just ordered more bread to mop up that amazing sauce. Thank you for a fabulous evening!

Family celebration at Elena’s Celebration lunch for 14 family and friends. The quality of food was fantastic and the portions generous. We selected from one of the set menus with a few alterations, all of which were accommodated without any fuss. The food and drinks represented extremely good value and were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone present. The service was also first class, staff being both friendly and efficient and a credit to Elena.

Our best restaurant meal in months! A great meal: a wide range of raciones (more generous than usual tapas); we enjoyed every single one we chose as they were cooked to perfection to well-balanced recipes. Our after dinner coffees and liqueurs were enjoyed in a relaxed comfortably-fed haze (the Belmonte coffee and anis del mono liqueur were both great revelations). The staff were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic without ever being intrusive: a bonus that they were careful and skilled in checking that dishes would not trigger one person's allergy. Comfortable and unpretentious - I could not suggest a single improvement. My only regret is that I hadn't eaten there previously!

Absolutely amazing place! Chose it for my birthday meal and it was the best choice in the whole of Glasgow! Of course they removed them when I pointed it out but did not even say sorry. So always check you bill! It’s a shame that they tinted such a great positive food and service experience. **Original review after 1st visit** Went to get a quick bite but ended up Staying for a few hours. Great service, yummy food for good prices. Loved all that we got - garlic prawns, prawn soup, garlic langoustines, house wine, meatballs. Love it so much that ended up coming back again the following day to try other items on the menu. Menu is pretty large. Paella can probably feed 4 not just 2 people.

First time visit to Elena's and have to say it was really very nice. Very authentic Spanish with Tapas dishes firing out swiftly from the kitchen which were both tasty and piping hot. Wonderful dinner in friendly atmosphere near Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum While exploring University of Glasgow and Kelvingrove Park in the afternoon, we were thinking of having dinner nearby. We chose Elena’s place and we were not disappointed at all. Elena is the owner of this Spanish, Mediterranean restaurant and helped us to choose items including non-alcoholic drink. All the items were super tasty and reasonably priced. We sat outside as evening weather was very comfy. Elena and her team members checked several times if everything is ok or we need anything. We felt welcomed and made a very good conversation. We will surely come back when we get opportunity. Thank you Elena and your team members.

Food was fine but when it came to ordering dessert the waitress informed us that we would have to wait 20 minutes before we could place our order as the chefs were having a break! One of our group complained, there wasn’t much by way of apology and we waited at least another 40minutes by the time some of the desserts arrived. It wasn’t explained when we booked, arrived or ordered that the chefs would have a break during our meal. The cleanliness of the ladies toilets was poor. Don’t think we’ll return or recommend this restaurant.

Went for brunch today and the restaurant was incredibly quiet but NO IDEA how the food was absolutely wonderful and the service was 10/10. This placed should be absolutely booked out for breakfast. Will 100% be back.

Without a doubt, the best tapas I've eaten in Glasgow We came here for Saturday lunch and arrived at 12:30. We were quickly seated and offered drinks. As in some other places, even in Spain, staff knowledge of dry and medium sherry was scanty. I showed the waiter a photo on my phone of Tio Pepe by Gonzalez Byass to no avail. We did notice eventually they had a Manzanilla and Pedro Ximénez available on the menu, so it was resolved and we had Manzanilla and an Estrella Damm (Bottled as there was a problem with the draught beer). We ordered and the food came very quickly: Croquetas, Gambas al Ajillo, Chorizo a la Sidra, Ensalada de Pimientos asados and Esparragos trigueros empanados sobre Ali-Oli. All were perfect in presentation and flavour and I doubt if they could be better anywhere. Wine was reasonably priced at £22.50 for a Rioja Rosado. This was followed by Crema Catalana, coffee and Soberano brandy. Altogether a memorable meal. The only fly in the ointment was the service, which was helpful but rather lumbering. Our waiter, I guess, was fairly new and had to be reminded at times. This would not prevent our going back, however.

Great wee authentic place. All the food was phenomenal and very friendly nice staff. Was great to see all the staff sit down together for lunch - just like you see in restaurants in Spain. Great laidback vibe. We will definitely be back!

Extremely welcoming - great hospitality Our first time at this restaurant and Spanish food isn't a regular for us. the place is clean and welcoming the food is great. We had some sharing tapas and played it quite safe. We had things like very simple goats cheese and bread which probably doesn't sound much but it was excellent. The highlight however was the people. They were incredibly welcoming and you just had the feeling they were really happy for you to be there and focussed on making your visit pleasant. we'll be back for the Paella when we have more time

Cannot deny the food was absolutely incredible, really enjoyed every single dish! Happened upon this place because we were in the area for a wedding, so sadly unlikely we will return, but would definitely recommend and if we were back in Glasgow I’m sure we’d seek it out!

Elena's Spanish Bar & Restaurant Glasgow Highly enjoyed dining at Elena's in Glasgow. Beverage: The glass of Organic Macabeo Sobre Lias, Tierra de Castilla, Torre Solar La Mancha, Spain 7.75 £ for a large glass was fresh and crisp. Appetizer: Albondigas de ternera caseras (homemade meatballs), the meatballs and sauce was excellent! 7.50£ Salad: Mezclum de lechugas (fresh picked lettuce/goats cheese/nuts/strawberry) was superb! 9.50£ Main: Chuletas de Cordero a la parrilla (grilled lamb chops) was served with fried potatoes, grilled tomato and padron peppers, the 3 vegetables would have benefited from a light sprinkle of sea salt. 17.00£ Dessert: Crema catalana (creme brulee) 7£ was clumpy but flavorful. Service was very good until the end when it became scattered and the staff did not appear to be communicating well with each other regarding our order. Quality for price is very good.

I visited this restaurant today for lunch. Seems all trace and trace and social distancing in place, all staff were wearing masks. Were given a table outside, service was a bit slow.. but to be fair the restaurant was busy, one of our drinks was forgotten and the staff had to be reminded. Food did not come out all at once, so we were unable to share and enjoy... which was a shame... as the food was great, hot and enjoyable. Everywhere seemed clean and tidy, staff were friendly and polite.... would I recommend, yes 100%, will I be revisiting... again yes 100%.

Amazing Spanish food I have been here quite a few times over the years and it never disappoints. Everything is amazingly good. The flavour is spot on and the quality of the ingredients is superb. I am myself originally from the North of Spain and I can say all the dishes are very tasty. No wonder I keep coming every time I want to enjoy our typical cuisine. This time there is a special mention to those "torrijas" (fried bread), which brought back some fond memories from my childhood. By the way, their cocktails are out of this world as well!

Delicious food. We will be back. Great food and service. Almost could have been in Spain with the sunshining outside and the delicious tapas style food. We opted for fish - fish stew and the hake with asparagus done two ways as a side. Generous portions with just enough room for a homemade icecream to share. Price pretty reasonable too.

Perfect meal at Elena's! Booked to go before a concert at the Hyrdo and the food and service were amazing. The gentleman who was our server was so knowledgeable about each of the dishes and made great recommendations for us. By far some of the most authentic tapas in Glasgow. Can't wait to return.

Now do Spanish brekky alongside all day tapas and more substantial raciones and meals. Lovely family business, honest and authentic cantabrian cooking from Northern Spain. Relaxed atmosphere (can just have a coffee or a beer and quick bite) and also dog-friendly Kid-friendliness: It's Spanish family - kids are part of that, but don't expect a play area or child's menu - small portions of proper food

Delicious Loved Elena's we were staying in Glasgow for the weekend and googled Spanish tapas and ended up here and I'm so glad we did! We sat outside in the sunshine and the lady who served us(the owner I think?)was lovely knowledgeable and recommended fabulous wine and tapas, we had the tomato salad, hummus, mushroom & spinach croquettes, prawn in chilli oil and iberian ham with cheese and it was all delicious we cannot wait to return.

Go for the food. Just go! The food is excellent Two of us shared three dishes, a salad, a pork dish and a grilled veg dish. Good sizes and unbelievably tasty. We were there early evening and it was still quiet, but even still the place has a good atmosphere and the service was great. I will be back!

Great restaurant with varied menu. Lots of good options to share as a group. Had the seafood paella for first time last night, tasted great and portion is huge. Dog friendly too and nice staff.

Used to be the Stirling Castle an old haunt of the staff from Yorkhill (Sick Kids Hospital).
Sympathetically decorated offering authentic Spanish Tapas. Great menu selection, fine Spanish Beers on tap & good Spanish wine selection. Well worth a visit.

Tasty food that is 2x larger than tapas, 2½ plates would be what I recommend. The dessert topped off a great meal. And the service was top class! Will definitely be back.

Amazing Flavours! We have eaten here before and as usual the food is SO full of flavour. To begin with two small free tapas are brought to the table while we ordered. We ordered 5 tapas between two of us and this was more than ample. Whilst I always choose the mixed croquetas, next time I am going to choose one of the unmixed options - just for a change. The breaded asparagus in garlic was amazing. The Blancp Leiawashed everything down a treat, and the tarta santiago was amazing. As usual we look forward to the next time!

Very Impressive 1st visit I have walked past Elena's hundreds of times while heading to Finnieston to eat, I will never make that mistake again. My husband and I went for lunch around 3PM on Tuesday 28th July. The restaurant was busy and thankfully we where able to get a table without a booking. Our host was friendly and attentive despite doing all front of house duties solo. This man never stopped the whole time we where there. Service was fast and friendly and despite how busy our host was he still made sure we where enjoying our meal and quickly responded to additional food and drinks requests. We ordered a variety of dishes including, chicken, prawns, tortilla and goat's cheese everything was delicious. The bread basket was fresh, tasty and plentiful, perfect to mop up the oil from our delicious garlic prawns. The little Russian salad presented by our host was a delicious surprise, a nice little touch. I'm sure this will be the 1st of many visits to Elena's as we thoroughly enjoyed every dish, drinks, service and the atmosphere all for a very reasonable price. Great value for money.

Soup, sandwich & sun Wandering past at noon and spotted their lunchtime meal deal. It was something a bit different so in we went. Ordered seafood soup & sandwich, with a cerveza plus a side of sachi papas. Even the sun came out to make it feel even more like we were in Spain! Super service too.

Fantastic restaurant ideal for arena We had a lovely meal here, everywhere else around was full and wasn’t taking last minute bookings but they managed to get us in. We sat at the bar for tapas which was cool. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Food arrived quickly and was of great quality, albeit a little pricey. However overall a great place to eat and well worth it. Ideal if attending events at the OVO hydro.

Awesome place and real spanish food!!! I can see is my favourite spanish restaurant in Glasgow because the food taste as my home.country. reasonable price for the equality of the products(£15 per head eating 6 raciones for 4 people )
