Myself and family enjoyed a lovely lunch here today, never been to a tapas style restaurant before and was not disappointed, very welcoming and friendly staff and the food was fantastic, so tasty. Will definitely be back soon

An amazing evening of great tapas and good friends!! Elena put on an amazing afternoon (and evening!) for us and friends to celebrate a big birthday. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble and the food and wine just kept on coming at a lively pace. The dishes served were all so varied and yet the one thing they did have in common was that they were all straight out of the top drawer! Her descriptions of the ingredients she uses and where she sources them from was quite incredible: little things like that definitely make the difference. I couldnt recommend Elena's enough. Elena's Spanish Bar & Restaurant Glasgow Highly enjoyed dining at Elena's in Glasgow. Beverage: The glass of Organic Macabeo Sobre Lias, Tierra de Castilla, Torre Solar La Mancha, Spain 7.75 £ for a large glass was fresh and crisp. Appetizer: Albondigas de ternera caseras (homemade meatballs), the meatballs and sauce was excellent! 7.50£ Salad: Mezclum de lechugas (fresh picked lettuce/goats cheese/nuts/strawberry) was superb! 9.50£ Main: Chuletas de Cordero a la parrilla (grilled lamb chops) was served with fried potatoes, grilled tomato and padron peppers, the 3 vegetables would have benefited from a light sprinkle of sea salt. 17.00£ Dessert: Crema catalana (creme brulee) 7£ was clumpy but flavorful. Service was very good until the end when it became scattered and the staff did not appear to be communicating well with each other regarding our order. Quality for price is very good.

Tasty food that is 2x larger than tapas, 2½ plates would be what I recommend. The dessert topped off a great meal. And the service was top class! Will definitely be back.

Go for the food. Just go! The food is excellent Two of us shared three dishes, a salad, a pork dish and a grilled veg dish. Good sizes and unbelievably tasty. We were there early evening and it was still quiet, but even still the place has a good atmosphere and the service was great. I will be back!

Had a most enjoyable lunch. Feed was absolutely tremendous. Loved the thin cut calamari but the onions are not a good companion. The Pulpo was the best I’ve had in this country. The crema Catalan was to die for, the wine was excellent value, the goats cheese salad was tremendous. Patatas bravas good but not a potato I would have chosen. The service was excellent. A little quiet which was surprising as the food was fantastico!

Decided to have lunch here and was not disappointed. Great host helped with the menu and feeding the kids including one who was a bit fussy so we're Ble to accommodate with some items from the breakfast menu. Ordered vegetarian, vegan and meat tapas dishes and all were delicious and portion sizes were great. Two plates were enough for lunch probably 3 plates for dinner. Churros were delicious. Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian selections and choices that can be vegetarian or vegan on request as noted on menu.

We were warmly welcomed by name as we entered having booked online and said we had a dog. They were so dog friendly, seating us in an area with more space and bringing a bowl of water quickly. We enjoyed non alcoholic sangria. So great to have a range of choice of non alcoholic drinks. Also a good range of vegetarian options. I’d highly recommend the home made ice cream.

This is a gem! Lots of well-cooked Northern Spanish food, with a lot of extras prepared in-house, rather than bought in jars. Lots of tapas, but the paellas are signature dishes. Drink/cocktail menus good too. Busy weekends, but quiet midweek - surprising given the quality and authenticity of what's on offer.

Visited during lunch so was lovely and quiet. Very nice clean, welcoming restaurant. Alcohol free drinks were lovely. Food was delicious especially the desserts. Service was great, staff very friendly. Would definitely come back.

Fantastic seafood and great staff. Just had the finest meal in Europe in years, My son, daughter in law and I had the most wonderful sea food platter. Absolutely crammed with lobster, langoustines, crab, prawns , cockles, mussels and the tenderest squid I have tasted. Easily fed 3 but could also serve 4. Brilliant seafood at a fantastic price, will be back, also serving staff were brilliant and laid back. Best of luck in the future!

This was the best Spanish food ive had outside of Spain. I grew up in southern Spain and the food here is on par. Will be back as soon as we can. Cannot fault the restaurant or food at all.

Perfect Saturday evening for two!! Was looking for somewhere to go as a mini celebration for two on a Saturday night and decided on Elena’s due to recommendations and that I’ve been wanting to go for ages. Was not disappointed! Our table wasn’t ready, which was cool, we were sat at the bar and our tab was opened without asking! Beer and Gin and tonic was delicious! Was seated in a perfect table for us in the corner behind the door. My other half is not that adventurous with food, so we compromised on a selection of sharing plates that we could both enjoy! So much food to share, I accompanied mine with a delicious red wine. Favourite dishes were the ribs, brie and salmon cubes, Spanish omelette and chicken skewers. I love that everything comes as they are ready providing a continuous flow of hot food. On this occasion the bread came last after asking twice, which was surprising others seemed to get their bread voice to accompany their plates. The whole evening was not rushed at all, after eating we ordered another couple of drinks and continued to enjoy the talented guitarist in the background. Good service and ambiance. Perfect for date night or girls night I look forward to returning to Elena’s.

Soup, sandwich & sun Wandering past at noon and spotted their lunchtime meal deal. It was something a bit different so in we went. Ordered seafood soup & sandwich, with a cerveza plus a side of sachi papas. Even the sun came out to make it feel even more like we were in Spain! Super service too.

First time visit to Elena's and have to say it was really very nice. Very authentic Spanish with Tapas dishes firing out swiftly from the kitchen which were both tasty and piping hot. Just popped in for a beer on a sunny evening and decided to have some food because it smelled so good. We were not disappointed - the staff were lovely, service excellent and the food was delicious. Calamari was perfect, which can be a hit or a miss. We will definitely be back and would recommend if you're looking for delicious, authentic Spanish food 😊

Family celebration at Elena’s Celebration lunch for 14 family and friends. The quality of food was fantastic and the portions generous. We selected from one of the set menus with a few alterations, all of which were accommodated without any fuss. The food and drinks represented extremely good value and were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone present. The service was also first class, staff being both friendly and efficient and a credit to Elena.

I came in here from Yorkhill in pain feeling sorry for myself and wanting a comforting hot chocolate. I was met with a smiling face and a nice open teberna. Open enough for those with mobility issues to get seated or takeaway. I heard them being very amenable to a person coming into finalise a mixed ability party booking and as food is made on site they will accommodate your dietary wishes also. The music was at a great level and during my short wait for my tasty racións I even daydreamed that Elena's would be just as welcoming during a fiesta. When i am next in Yorkhill I know where I'm going afterwards. Came in for the chocolate and stayed for food and atmosphere. They well deserve their awards. Dietary restrictions: Be polite and specific and they'll be amenable to any dietary needs. Kid-friendliness: There aren't any toys etc to play with but as long as your child knows not to get under feet and be a general toerag I don't think children would be a problem. However as this asks under kid-friendliness I know the cabras must've been happy and friendly as they're tender to eat 😀 jk... kinda Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room and very accommodating.

Absolutely amazing place! Chose it for my birthday meal and it was the best choice in the whole of Glasgow! Our waiter, Simone, was so amazing she made me feel super happy, after some stressful weeks! So huge thank you to her!! Food amazing, service amazing, can't say any bad thing about it. Went for late lunch / early dinner for a birthday and had a lovely time. The staff were engaging and helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and the best way for us to order. Every dish was delicious and we were struggling to finish everything in the end. We were going to go somewhere else for a drink afterwards but had had such a lovely time we ended up just sitting outside in a rare blast of Glasgow sunshine with another bottle of wine and another delightful waitress. Can't wait to go back. 😋😋😋

Toured Andalusia a few weeks ago so think the selection and quality of tapas at Elena's is very good, authentic & great quality (apart from the Glasgow weather outside, you could easily be in Spain!). Portions were good, staff knowledgeable, helpful and service quick. I'd recommend to anyone!

What a fantastic meal my husband and I had, we had various types of tapas and they were all delicious, loved the decor, great friendly service and can’t wait to go back.

Went for dinner to this restaurant and was generally very pleased with the experience. The staff were all so kind and attentive. There doesn't seem to be a server dedicated to your table, so everyone helps out if you need something. The peppers were a bit over salted, but I'm sure with beer that would have been amazing. I recommend trying the chorizo, octopus and homemade ice cream. We'll be coming back for the paella when time allows and also to try their weekend Spanish breakfast.

Excellent Evening Great Staff Great Food We picked this restaurant right out of the blue as we were going to Glasgow to meet Lynda's daughter and husband. Lynda hadn't experienced tapas and it had been a while since I had so we went for it. Travelling in and out of Glasgow that afternoon we were delighted to hear from two separate taxi drivers that the restaurant had a great reputation so we knew we were onto a good thing. My poor sense of timing got us there half an hour early which wasn't a problem as we were shown to the bar and ordered drinks whilst our table was prepared. Another good sign was that there were quite a few people in the restaurant speaking Spanish so again we knew that if the local Spanish population were going there that it should be good. The decor is simple, rustic and really creates an atmosphere of unhurried enjoyable eating. We only had to wait around ten minutes and we were shown to our table and presented with an extensive menu. We were also presented with a small ball of potato with veg and spices in to try and it was marvellous. I asked how many dishes we should order between us to make a substantial meal and was told 6 and that was spot on. So we ordered, beer battered shrimps, asparagus in batter with blue cheese dip, meatballs, olives, mixed potato croquettes and Spanish Mediterranean chicken and were given some fabulous moist bread. Having polished it all off we went for what we thought would be smallish easy desserts to finish up with. I went for chocolate mouse that was presented in a large tall glass and was delicious. Lynda went for the chocolate brownie without the ice cream which was still massive, three good size portions with cream, needless to say we couldn't finish dessert. Add to all that 2 bottles of sparkling water and a large glass of white wine it all came to £62.25 which was exceptional value for money for a meal for two in Glasgow's West End on a Saturday night. Its clearly a popular venue for the locals too as their were many families of many generations in there clearly enjoying the food and themselves. Well done all at Elena's we will be back.

Authentic tapas Quality of food was fantastic but was slightly let down by the inconsistent portion sizes. 5 tiny pieces of chorizo for £10 was a lot more than most other tapas places and was the opposite end of the scale to the large portions of tapas we also ate here tonight.

I initially invested a total of $500 over a period of 5 weeks. My bonus/profit was $6,050, every attempt to make withdrawal failed and I was instructed to make another deposit of $2,500 before I can make withdrawals which I did. till now, I'm still unable to make withdrawals and all attempts to contact brokers have failed. Truly authentic Spanish food. Everything is made fresh even the ice creams. We chose 2 dishes each some olives and bread and we enjoyed every one. We couldn't pick a favourite. We were given a free tapas which was a lovely touch. We also tasted a selection of deserts which were fantastic.
The service was friendly also. We will return. Highly recommended

This is my third time here in three months. This time we went for some sangria which is excellent. Last couple of time we've went for dinner as well. The food is delicious. It's a little bit of authentic Spain in Glasgow's West End.

Service is first class. Lovely friendly staff who kept us well informed and we're very attentive.
We were given a wee complimentary cream of asparagus soup when we sat down. Was delightful.
Pulpo a la Gallega was delicious but for £18 I think the portion was a bit too small. Gambas a la Plancha were lovely but came with a sauce which wasn't mentioned on the menu. The sauce was a lemon butter type sauce which was nice but too lemony for me. I dipped my sliced potatoes from my Pulpo a al Gallega dish into the butter lemon sauce which I enjoyed. The Tostado with crushed tomatoes, again lovely but the bread wasn't toasted enough so they were a bit soggy. Chicken wings "Spanish style" we're just plain chicken wings. Pulpo a la Brasa was good. The mashed potato was gorgeous! Pork belly was a special and tasty but just a wee bit dry at the ends and too chewy for me but the rest of the pork was lovely moist and the fat melted in the mouth. Yum.
Ordered a litre of Sangria which was nice but there was absolutely no kick to it and for £20 I expected a wee buzz at least. Ordered a small glass of Rioja which was beautiful. Will definitely go back but just get wine and stick to seafood.

A very special evening My husband and I chose Elena's for dinner on our wedding anniversary and we had a lovely evening. The food was excellent (as always), the waiter was very friendly and he even gave us two glasses of delicious cava on the house to celebrate our anniversary! I liked everything here. Service was available but unobtrusive and tactful. A complimentary tapas is included and changes daily. The raciónes offered here are larger than tapas. I asked about the dishes from the north and heard the 'Rabas' are Calamari with onions. The adobitos which I think was lightly battered pieces of hake tasted fresh and light. Apparently it's a southern dish. The grilled vegetables were artistically presented. I liked it here enough to stay for pudding. The crema catalana was light and fluffy and I left completely full. Decor here is light, airy and relaxed, neither rustic nor brash modern, a bit like being near the sea. Mixed, fairly quiet clientele and a couple of locals at the bar. It felt exactly like a nice Spanish restaurant in Glasgow! Update: Oct 2019. I've eaten here twice now. Since my first visit it's won awards. One girl had an attitude unsuited to front of house service but apart from that everything still good.

I went here on Halloween with friends. I had the octopus main as a starter and the seafood platter. The octopus was ok, didn't taste of much seasoning. The seafood platter with lobster was HUGE. It was £60 and have to say it's the biggest platter I've ever seen, you'd normally pay this amount for something a third of the size as there was no salad padding underneath, it was seafood down to the plate! I've grown used to platters being for one so was pleasantly surprised. There was so much I took a doggie bag for lunch the next day. My friends all had the tapas which they said was ok. They also had sirloin steaks and although they asked for well done, all were medium and one of the guys couldn't eat a big part of his as he doesn't like pink meat so eat around the pink bits. Overall it was fantastic value for money though it was more quantity over quality (except for the platter, which was lovely)

Food was soooo gooood!! We enjoyed our tapas! Our fav is chorizo in cider. Didn't expect it to taste that gooood! We had 5 course tapas and all of it was amazing.

First time visiting Elena's restaurant...welcoming to families with children. Lovely, delicious and authentic Spanish food. The kids give it 5-stars and so do we! Good location only five minutes from Kelvingrove museum. Hopefully we can come back next time we're in Glasgow.

All the food was delicious, especially the Octopus - yum yum! Also the chicken goujon so with the dip, fantastic, give me 2 lots next time

Amazing option as breakfast with the best taste of Spain at Elena’s Tasteful and vibrant tastes, original plates from Spain breakfast, with options for all! I really enjoy my meal. Superb! As a southsider it's hard to tempt me over to the west end these days, we've got a lot of good restaurants on our doorstep. However, some friends recommended Elena's and it didn't disappoint! The waiter who greeted us was knowledgeable and friendly, the waitress who served our table for the rest of the evening even more so. The food was amazing and service was prompt. My only complaint was the TV screen showing the chef's cookery demonstration. I was reminded every 3 minutes that we should have also ordered the patatas bravas! We've booked again for Christmas eve so I'll get my chance! Fantastic evening, can't wait for round 2!!

Spanish Sunday Brunch -Oh, you want to! Well established for evening and later in the afternoon, Elena’s also has a cracking Spanish flavoured brunch menu. Freshly made tortilla like nothing you’ve tasted here ❤️💃🏻 Loads of other options, down to fruit salad and sandwich mixto (ham and cheese toasty 😄). Really lovely staff and a relaxed environment to start your day ☀️

Passionate It was clear that the everyone was passionate about the food that was being shared with us. The welcome and the service were warm and friendly. The food was a treat. I loved the roasted padron peppers with salt flakes and the pineapple & mint juice. The homemade ice cream was the best I’ve had in a long while. We can’t wait to bring friends and family to this wee gem.

We will be back! How wonderful this simple, clean restaurant with first-class service. The seafood was delicious, it was obviously fresh and to finish we had some strawberry and pineapple Daiquiri prepared by the restaurant owner's fairy hands. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Went for brunch today and the restaurant was incredibly quiet but NO IDEA how the food was absolutely wonderful and the service was 10/10. This placed should be absolutely booked out for breakfast. Will 100% be back.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely lunch this February. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive to your needs. Lots of information given about menu items and portion sizes. My boyfriend had the seafood soup which he loved and the battered prawns which were excellent. I went for the seafood stew which was also very tasty. The portion sizes were reasonable. I particularly like the fact that it is all fresh seafood not frozen. Because I love fresh seafood I would definitely go back. I thought the prices were on the high side but as I love fresh lobster, prawns and clams, I think it is worth a treat from time to time. Love that it's dog friendly. Our overall experience was fantastic and I would recommend this gastro pub .
