This is my third time here in three months. This time we went for some sangria which is excellent. Last couple of time we've went for dinner as well. The food is delicious. It's a little bit of authentic Spain in Glasgow's West End.

Brilliant food with big portions (for tapas). Really enjoyed our meal with highlights being pork loin, langoustines and octopus. Staff were very friendly and couldn't have done more for us. We'll be back for sure.

Truly authentic Spanish food. Everything is made fresh even the ice creams. We chose 2 dishes each some olives and bread and we enjoyed every one. We couldn't pick a favourite. We were given a free tapas which was a lovely touch. We also tasted a selection of deserts which were fantastic.
The service was friendly also. We will return. Highly recommended

Visited today with husband and kids. Staff friendly and attentive. Food delicious. We are frequent visitors to Spain and enjoy tapas. This is one of the best we have eaten outside of Spain. Highly recommend goats cheese, spinach and mushroom croquettes and meatballs. Free appetiser was a nice touch too. We will be back!

Absolutely amazing place! Chose it for my birthday meal and it was the best choice in the whole of Glasgow! Our waiter, Simone, was so amazing she made me feel super happy, after some stressful weeks! So huge thank you to her!! Food amazing, service amazing, can't say any bad thing about it. Just popped in for a beer on a sunny evening and decided to have some food because it smelled so good. We were not disappointed - the staff were lovely, service excellent and the food was delicious. Calamari was perfect, which can be a hit or a miss. We will definitely be back and would recommend if you're looking for delicious, authentic Spanish food 😊

Delicious Loved Elena's we were staying in Glasgow for the weekend and googled Spanish tapas and ended up here and I'm so glad we did! We sat outside in the sunshine and the lady who served us(the owner I think?)was lovely knowledgeable and recommended fabulous wine and tapas, we had the tomato salad, hummus, mushroom & spinach croquettes, prawn in chilli oil and iberian ham with cheese and it was all delicious we cannot wait to return.

Fantastic, Amazing, Fabulous and all the other good things. This was the most fabulous place. The food was excellent, great choices and brilliant recommendations from the staff. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially our waitress Nidia who was an absolute super star. . The various croquettes were stunning and the garlic prawns were to die for, we should have just ordered more bread to mop up that amazing sauce. Thank you for a fabulous evening!

Go for the food. Just go! The food is excellent Two of us shared three dishes, a salad, a pork dish and a grilled veg dish. Good sizes and unbelievably tasty. We were there early evening and it was still quiet, but even still the place has a good atmosphere and the service was great. I will be back!

Comfort food to the max. I loved Elena's. The food is original and has an authentic, home-made feel. I had delicious, flavoursome scrambled egg with asparagus, courgette fritters in a heavenly, crispy coating drizzled with honey, and scrumptious mussels in a creamy white wine broth. With generous portions and excellent service, this place is about to become a favourite!

A little bt of Spanish quality in Glasgow This visit was a birthday meal for a mix of vegetarian, vegan and meat eaters. Elena's catered for it in an easy and relaxed way. The first table we were offered was too close to the servery and the toilets. Having pointed this out we were moved to a more appropriate table for our party. The mix tapas was interesting and well presented, the salmon was nicely cooked and the baby potatoes and vegetables well cooked. The paella was vegan and my first outing with a non meat paella, however it was savoury, tasty and very enjoyable. The Rioja was served at room temperature, a good wine fragrant with violets and wild herbs, with raspberry and dark fruit and then spicy leather and some chocolate thoroughly enjoyable.

Spanish Breakfast I been there many times for luch as they have the best paella in Scotland but was my first time in a Spanish breakfast, It was amazing! Staff very polite and I am so happy as the owner Elena"s was the chef that day. I will be back soon.

Very Impressive 1st visit I have walked past Elena's hundreds of times while heading to Finnieston to eat, I will never make that mistake again. My husband and I went for lunch around 3PM on Tuesday 28th July. The restaurant was busy and thankfully we where able to get a table without a booking. Our host was friendly and attentive despite doing all front of house duties solo. This man never stopped the whole time we where there. Service was fast and friendly and despite how busy our host was he still made sure we where enjoying our meal and quickly responded to additional food and drinks requests. We ordered a variety of dishes including, chicken, prawns, tortilla and goat's cheese everything was delicious. The bread basket was fresh, tasty and plentiful, perfect to mop up the oil from our delicious garlic prawns. The little Russian salad presented by our host was a delicious surprise, a nice little touch. I'm sure this will be the 1st of many visits to Elena's as we thoroughly enjoyed every dish, drinks, service and the atmosphere all for a very reasonable price. Great value for money.

An amazing evening of great tapas and good friends!! Elena put on an amazing afternoon (and evening!) for us and friends to celebrate a big birthday. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble and the food and wine just kept on coming at a lively pace. The dishes served were all so varied and yet the one thing they did have in common was that they were all straight out of the top drawer! Her descriptions of the ingredients she uses and where she sources them from was quite incredible: little things like that definitely make the difference. I couldnt recommend Elena's enough. Had a most enjoyable lunch. Feed was absolutely tremendous. Loved the thin cut calamari but the onions are not a good companion. The Pulpo was the best I’ve had in this country. The crema Catalan was to die for, the wine was excellent value, the goats cheese salad was tremendous. Patatas bravas good but not a potato I would have chosen. The service was excellent. A little quiet which was surprising as the food was fantastico!

Elena’s has now taken over from Rioja as my favourite Spanish tapas restaurant in Glasgow. The good is so fresh and delicious! And authentically Spanish. A lovely vibe in this restaurant with efficient and friendly staff. I have to especially mention Hannah, who looked after us that night and did a fabulous job! I’ll be back and soon ❤️

I liked everything here. Service was available but unobtrusive and tactful. A complimentary tapas is included and changes daily. The raciónes offered here are larger than tapas. I asked about the dishes from the north and heard the 'Rabas' are Calamari with onions. The adobitos which I think was lightly battered pieces of hake tasted fresh and light. Apparently it's a southern dish. The grilled vegetables were artistically presented. I liked it here enough to stay for pudding. The crema catalana was light and fluffy and I left completely full. Decor here is light, airy and relaxed, neither rustic nor brash modern, a bit like being near the sea. Mixed, fairly quiet clientele and a couple of locals at the bar. It felt exactly like a nice Spanish restaurant in Glasgow! Update: Oct 2019. I've eaten here twice now. Since my first visit it's won awards. One girl had an attitude unsuited to front of house service but apart from that everything still good.

Now do Spanish brekky alongside all day tapas and more substantial raciones and meals. Lovely family business, honest and authentic cantabrian cooking from Northern Spain. Relaxed atmosphere (can just have a coffee or a beer and quick bite) and also dog-friendly Kid-friendliness: It's Spanish family - kids are part of that, but don't expect a play area or child's menu - small portions of proper food

What a find! Really fantastic, authentic Spanish food. The seafood paella was sensational and the tortilla starter was the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Lovely staff too. There’s a lot of eateries in Finnieston Hydro strip. This is the best imho.

Family celebration at Elena’s Celebration lunch for 14 family and friends. The quality of food was fantastic and the portions generous. We selected from one of the set menus with a few alterations, all of which were accommodated without any fuss. The food and drinks represented extremely good value and were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone present. The service was also first class, staff being both friendly and efficient and a credit to Elena.

This is a gem! Lots of well-cooked Northern Spanish food, with a lot of extras prepared in-house, rather than bought in jars. Lots of tapas, but the paellas are signature dishes. Drink/cocktail menus good too. Busy weekends, but quiet midweek - surprising given the quality and authenticity of what's on offer.

Soup, sandwich & sun Wandering past at noon and spotted their lunchtime meal deal. It was something a bit different so in we went. Ordered seafood soup & sandwich, with a cerveza plus a side of sachi papas. Even the sun came out to make it feel even more like we were in Spain! Super service too.

I went here on Halloween with friends. I had the octopus main as a starter and the seafood platter. The octopus was ok, didn't taste of much seasoning. The seafood platter with lobster was HUGE. It was £60 and have to say it's the biggest platter I've ever seen, you'd normally pay this amount for something a third of the size as there was no salad padding underneath, it was seafood down to the plate! I've grown used to platters being for one so was pleasantly surprised. There was so much I took a doggie bag for lunch the next day. My friends all had the tapas which they said was ok. They also had sirloin steaks and although they asked for well done, all were medium and one of the guys couldn't eat a big part of his as he doesn't like pink meat so eat around the pink bits. Overall it was fantastic value for money though it was more quantity over quality (except for the platter, which was lovely)

I came in here from Yorkhill in pain feeling sorry for myself and wanting a comforting hot chocolate. I was met with a smiling face and a nice open teberna. Open enough for those with mobility issues to get seated or takeaway. I heard them being very amenable to a person coming into finalise a mixed ability party booking and as food is made on site they will accommodate your dietary wishes also. The music was at a great level and during my short wait for my tasty racións I even daydreamed that Elena's would be just as welcoming during a fiesta. When i am next in Yorkhill I know where I'm going afterwards. Came in for the chocolate and stayed for food and atmosphere. They well deserve their awards. Dietary restrictions: Be polite and specific and they'll be amenable to any dietary needs. Kid-friendliness: There aren't any toys etc to play with but as long as your child knows not to get under feet and be a general toerag I don't think children would be a problem. However as this asks under kid-friendliness I know the cabras must've been happy and friendly as they're tender to eat 😀 jk... kinda Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room and very accommodating.

We were warmly welcomed by name as we entered having booked online and said we had a dog. They were so dog friendly, seating us in an area with more space and bringing a bowl of water quickly. We enjoyed non alcoholic sangria. So great to have a range of choice of non alcoholic drinks. Also a good range of vegetarian options. I’d highly recommend the home made ice cream.

Authentic and delicious First time I’d been and won’t be the last. Paella was the best I’ve had outside of Spain. Having been to Galicia I can confirm the pulpo a la gallega was as authentic as it gets and the Iberian ham and calamari were both delicious. Two of our friends are veggie and they loved their veggie tapas - particularly the croquettes. Much better than going to a chain like Cafe Andaluz. The “coronarita” cocktails were also great fun. It’s not cheap but good Spanish food isn’t cheap and the service could have been a little better but it was very busy on a Saturday night. One of the pictures on the wall is definitely San Sebastián (I’ve stood on that view point!) and not Santander as the waiter claimed (haha!).

Fantastic seafood and great staff. Just had the finest meal in Europe in years, My son, daughter in law and I had the most wonderful sea food platter. Absolutely crammed with lobster, langoustines, crab, prawns , cockles, mussels and the tenderest squid I have tasted. Easily fed 3 but could also serve 4. Brilliant seafood at a fantastic price, will be back, also serving staff were brilliant and laid back. Best of luck in the future!

This was our second time visiting Elena's while on a trip to Glasgow, and we've always had an excellent experience. Great food, excellent service, and caters amazingly for those who need gluten-free dishes. We will be back.

I initially invested a total of $500 over a period of 5 weeks. Excellent Evening Great Staff Great Food We picked this restaurant right out of the blue as we were going to Glasgow to meet Lynda's daughter and husband. Lynda hadn't experienced tapas and it had been a while since I had so we went for it. Travelling in and out of Glasgow that afternoon we were delighted to hear from two separate taxi drivers that the restaurant had a great reputation so we knew we were onto a good thing. My poor sense of timing got us there half an hour early which wasn't a problem as we were shown to the bar and ordered drinks whilst our table was prepared. Another good sign was that there were quite a few people in the restaurant speaking Spanish so again we knew that if the local Spanish population were going there that it should be good. The decor is simple, rustic and really creates an atmosphere of unhurried enjoyable eating. We only had to wait around ten minutes and we were shown to our table and presented with an extensive menu. We were also presented with a small ball of potato with veg and spices in to try and it was marvellous. I asked how many dishes we should order between us to make a substantial meal and was told 6 and that was spot on. So we ordered, beer battered shrimps, asparagus in batter with blue cheese dip, meatballs, olives, mixed potato croquettes and Spanish Mediterranean chicken and were given some fabulous moist bread. Having polished it all off we went for what we thought would be smallish easy desserts to finish up with. I went for chocolate mouse that was presented in a large tall glass and was delicious. Lynda went for the chocolate brownie without the ice cream which was still massive, three good size portions with cream, needless to say we couldn't finish dessert. Add to all that 2 bottles of sparkling water and a large glass of white wine it all came to £62.25 which was exceptional value for money for a meal for two in Glasgow's West End on a Saturday night. Its clearly a popular venue for the locals too as their were many families of many generations in there clearly enjoying the food and themselves. Well done all at Elena's we will be back.

Without a doubt, the best tapas I've eaten in Glasgow We came here for Saturday lunch and arrived at 12:30. We were quickly seated and offered drinks. As in some other places, even in Spain, staff knowledge of dry and medium sherry was scanty. I showed the waiter a photo on my phone of Tio Pepe by Gonzalez Byass to no avail. We did notice eventually they had a Manzanilla and Pedro Ximénez available on the menu, so it was resolved and we had Manzanilla and an Estrella Damm (Bottled as there was a problem with the draught beer). We ordered and the food came very quickly: Croquetas, Gambas al Ajillo, Chorizo a la Sidra, Ensalada de Pimientos asados and Esparragos trigueros empanados sobre Ali-Oli. All were perfect in presentation and flavour and I doubt if they could be better anywhere. Wine was reasonably priced at £22.50 for a Rioja Rosado. This was followed by Crema Catalana, coffee and Soberano brandy. Altogether a memorable meal. The only fly in the ointment was the service, which was helpful but rather lumbering. Our waiter, I guess, was fairly new and had to be reminded at times. This would not prevent our going back, however.

First time visiting Elena's restaurant...welcoming to families with children. Lovely, delicious and authentic Spanish food. The kids give it 5-stars and so do we! Good location only five minutes from Kelvingrove museum. Hopefully we can come back next time we're in Glasgow.

Service is first class. Lovely friendly staff who kept us well informed and we're very attentive.
We were given a wee complimentary cream of asparagus soup when we sat down. Was delightful.
Pulpo a la Gallega was delicious but for £18 I think the portion was a bit too small. Gambas a la Plancha were lovely but came with a sauce which wasn't mentioned on the menu. The sauce was a lemon butter type sauce which was nice but too lemony for me. I dipped my sliced potatoes from my Pulpo a al Gallega dish into the butter lemon sauce which I enjoyed. The Tostado with crushed tomatoes, again lovely but the bread wasn't toasted enough so they were a bit soggy. Chicken wings "Spanish style" we're just plain chicken wings. Pulpo a la Brasa was good. The mashed potato was gorgeous! Pork belly was a special and tasty but just a wee bit dry at the ends and too chewy for me but the rest of the pork was lovely moist and the fat melted in the mouth. Yum.
Ordered a litre of Sangria which was nice but there was absolutely no kick to it and for £20 I expected a wee buzz at least. Ordered a small glass of Rioja which was beautiful. Will definitely go back but just get wine and stick to seafood.

Oustanding! Seven years after opening, Elena's remains outstanding. The selection of larger-than-average tapas is extensive. Prices are reasonable. Service is friendly--and on a busy Friday evening Elena personally served us! We hope the chicken stuffed with vegetables (a special for the night) makes it onto the regular menu. Location is just across the road from Kelvingrove Museum.

Amazing Spanish food I have been here quite a few times over the years and it never disappoints. Everything is amazingly good. The flavour is spot on and the quality of the ingredients is superb. I am myself originally from the North of Spain and I can say all the dishes are very tasty. No wonder I keep coming every time I want to enjoy our typical cuisine. This time there is a special mention to those "torrijas" (fried bread), which brought back some fond memories from my childhood. By the way, their cocktails are out of this world as well!

A great find near SWG3 We booked a table for four in Elena’s for a quick bite to eat prior to attending a music gig in SWG3. We were greeted warmly upon arrival, and shown to our seat straight away. Our drinks order was taken promptly, and our food order taken shortly afterwards. There were four of us, so we each selected a couple of tapas dishes to share. We ordered meatballs, patatas bravas, calamari and onion rings, prawns with marie rose sauce, black pudding, mushroom and spinach croquettes, mussels and chicken goujons. All dishes were delicious. Tuesday night meal Superb service, efficient and friendly but never intrusive. Good choice of drinks, quality of food was excellent. The food was true to the Spanish style, not just deep fried dishes. Good portion sizes, slightly larger than many tapas.

I was there on Friday with my wife then Tuesday with my Spanish class so that's me been three times(I was there before Christmas with the class) I would definitely recommend it the food🥘🥧🍲🍤 is a AMAZING!! as are the drinks🍺🍷😉 👍

We went for dinner here before a gig at swg3 so we only had a few dishes and a bottle of wine as we didn't have a lot of time. I think it was Elena who seated us and she was very nice. The wait staff were also very polite and brought us a little cup of soup while we waited.

I ordered the blackberry sparkler cocktail, and my boyfriend had a beer, Estrella. I could have had about 3 glasses, the cava was lovely 🤣 and the fresh fruit puree was a nice touch. We had patatas bravas, calamari , mixed croquettes, and the jamon iberico and manchengo cheese. Ooh, and a yummy Rioja.

We would definitely come back to try some main dishes when we have time to enjoy.

Excellent! I went here with my Daughter, Son in law and Grandson on Wednesday 12th of April after a great visit to the Riverside museum. My daughter picked the venue (it’s usually my job to pick as I’m a chef) , however I left it up to her. What a great choice! We arrived a wee bit early however this was not an issue, it would have been lovely to sit outside but it was a wee bit chilly. (Must be lovely in the summer ) We were seated quickly , given the menus, asked about allergies etc, all very professional. The ambience of the place was great, sun shining through the window, good music etc. Actually felt like we were in Spain. The young lady took our drinks order and returned to take our food order shortly after. There were three of us so we decided to order 9 dishes between us as they were doing a ‘buy two get the third free’ offer. We were given a complimentary potato salad as an ‘Amuse Bouche’ which was lovely. The food - We had - Home made bread, butter, balsamic vinegar and olives Garlic prawns Chicken strips Deep fried asparagus Black Pudding Croquettes Chorizo cooked in red wine Battered King Prawns Patatas Bravas Deep fried Brie & Pardon peppers All served with appropriate sauces and dips. Every dish was extremely tasty and we ate the lot! Unfortunately we didn’t have room for dessert as wee were too full, but they even make their own ice cream !, All in all a great experience and I wish I lived a bit closer as I would be in there at least a couple of times a week! I think you can just pop in for a drink too? We will definitely return here soon, Special mention must go to the young lady and the gentleman who served us.
