Tuesday night meal Superb service, efficient and friendly but never intrusive. Good choice of drinks, quality of food was excellent. The food was true to the Spanish style, not just deep fried dishes. Good portion sizes, slightly larger than many tapas.

Visited during lunch so was lovely and quiet. Very nice clean, welcoming restaurant. Alcohol free drinks were lovely. Food was delicious especially the desserts. Service was great, staff very friendly. Would definitely come back.

A little bt of Spanish quality in Glasgow This visit was a birthday meal for a mix of vegetarian, vegan and meat eaters. Elena's catered for it in an easy and relaxed way. The first table we were offered was too close to the servery and the toilets. Having pointed this out we were moved to a more appropriate table for our party. The mix tapas was interesting and well presented, the salmon was nicely cooked and the baby potatoes and vegetables well cooked. The paella was vegan and my first outing with a non meat paella, however it was savoury, tasty and very enjoyable. The Rioja was served at room temperature, a good wine fragrant with violets and wild herbs, with raspberry and dark fruit and then spicy leather and some chocolate thoroughly enjoyable.

Went for brunch today and the restaurant was incredibly quiet but NO IDEA how the food was absolutely wonderful and the service was 10/10. This placed should be absolutely booked out for breakfast. Will 100% be back.

Great restaurant with varied menu. Lots of good options to share as a group. Had the seafood paella for first time last night, tasted great and portion is huge. Dog friendly too and nice staff.

Without a doubt, the best tapas I've eaten in Glasgow We came here for Saturday lunch and arrived at 12:30. We were quickly seated and offered drinks. As in some other places, even in Spain, staff knowledge of dry and medium sherry was scanty. I showed the waiter a photo on my phone of Tio Pepe by Gonzalez Byass to no avail. We did notice eventually they had a Manzanilla and Pedro Ximénez available on the menu, so it was resolved and we had Manzanilla and an Estrella Damm (Bottled as there was a problem with the draught beer). We ordered and the food came very quickly: Croquetas, Gambas al Ajillo, Chorizo a la Sidra, Ensalada de Pimientos asados and Esparragos trigueros empanados sobre Ali-Oli. All were perfect in presentation and flavour and I doubt if they could be better anywhere. Wine was reasonably priced at £22.50 for a Rioja Rosado. This was followed by Crema Catalana, coffee and Soberano brandy. Altogether a memorable meal. The only fly in the ointment was the service, which was helpful but rather lumbering. Our waiter, I guess, was fairly new and had to be reminded at times. This would not prevent our going back, however.

We went for dinner here before a gig at swg3 so we only had a few dishes and a bottle of wine as we didn't have a lot of time. I think it was Elena who seated us and she was very nice. The wait staff were also very polite and brought us a little cup of soup while we waited.

I ordered the blackberry sparkler cocktail, and my boyfriend had a beer, Estrella. I could have had about 3 glasses, the cava was lovely 🤣 and the fresh fruit puree was a nice touch. We had patatas bravas, calamari , mixed croquettes, and the jamon iberico and manchengo cheese. Ooh, and a yummy Rioja.

We would definitely come back to try some main dishes when we have time to enjoy.

Came here with 5 people and overall was a really great experience. Service was friendly and reasonably efficient. Kept us topped up with drinks and were quick to clear plates as required. We ordered 11 plates in total, including the calamari, mussels, deep friend courgettes, chicken skewers, churros, mixed croquettes, Iberian ham. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Also offers a good selection of drinks. Definitely a place to go for dinner if you find yourself in the west end.

Elena's Spanish Bar & Restaurant Glasgow Highly enjoyed dining at Elena's in Glasgow. Beverage: The glass of Organic Macabeo Sobre Lias, Tierra de Castilla, Torre Solar La Mancha, Spain 7.75 £ for a large glass was fresh and crisp. Appetizer: Albondigas de ternera caseras (homemade meatballs), the meatballs and sauce was excellent! 7.50£ Salad: Mezclum de lechugas (fresh picked lettuce/goats cheese/nuts/strawberry) was superb! 9.50£ Main: Chuletas de Cordero a la parrilla (grilled lamb chops) was served with fried potatoes, grilled tomato and padron peppers, the 3 vegetables would have benefited from a light sprinkle of sea salt. 17.00£ Dessert: Crema catalana (creme brulee) 7£ was clumpy but flavorful. Service was very good until the end when it became scattered and the staff did not appear to be communicating well with each other regarding our order. Quality for price is very good.

Had a most enjoyable lunch. Feed was absolutely tremendous. Loved the thin cut calamari but the onions are not a good companion. The Pulpo was the best I’ve had in this country. The crema Catalan was to die for, the wine was excellent value, the goats cheese salad was tremendous. Patatas bravas good but not a potato I would have chosen. The service was excellent. A little quiet which was surprising as the food was fantastico!

Delicious food. We will be back. Great food and service. Almost could have been in Spain with the sunshining outside and the delicious tapas style food. We opted for fish - fish stew and the hake with asparagus done two ways as a side. Generous portions with just enough room for a homemade icecream to share. Price pretty reasonable too.

I visited this restaurant today for lunch. Seems all trace and trace and social distancing in place, all staff were wearing masks. Were given a table outside, service was a bit slow.. but to be fair the restaurant was busy, one of our drinks was forgotten and the staff had to be reminded. Food did not come out all at once, so we were unable to share and enjoy... which was a shame... as the food was great, hot and enjoyable. Everywhere seemed clean and tidy, staff were friendly and polite.... would I recommend, yes 100%, will I be revisiting... again yes 100%.

Great service, yummy food for good prices. Loved all that we got - garlic prawns, prawn soup, garlic langoustines, house wine, meatballs. Love it so much that ended up coming back again the following day to try other items on the menu. Menu is pretty large. Paella can probably feed 4 not just 2 people.

Fantastic, Amazing, Fabulous and all the other good things. This was the most fabulous place. The food was excellent, great choices and brilliant recommendations from the staff. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially our waitress Nidia who was an absolute super star. . The various croquettes were stunning and the garlic prawns were to die for, we should have just ordered more bread to mop up that amazing sauce. Thank you for a fabulous evening!

Excellent place Fantastic place we found on a visit to Glasgow with family from Inverness. Food was really good and the server was great and very good with the children we had with us.

Very Impressive 1st visit I have walked past Elena's hundreds of times while heading to Finnieston to eat, I will never make that mistake again. My husband and I went for lunch around 3PM on Tuesday 28th July. The restaurant was busy and thankfully we where able to get a table without a booking. Our host was friendly and attentive despite doing all front of house duties solo. This man never stopped the whole time we where there. Service was fast and friendly and despite how busy our host was he still made sure we where enjoying our meal and quickly responded to additional food and drinks requests. We ordered a variety of dishes including, chicken, prawns, tortilla and goat's cheese everything was delicious. The bread basket was fresh, tasty and plentiful, perfect to mop up the oil from our delicious garlic prawns. The little Russian salad presented by our host was a delicious surprise, a nice little touch. I'm sure this will be the 1st of many visits to Elena's as we thoroughly enjoyed every dish, drinks, service and the atmosphere all for a very reasonable price. Great value for money.

Excellent! I went here with my Daughter, Son in law and Grandson on Wednesday 12th of April after a great visit to the Riverside museum. My daughter picked the venue (it’s usually my job to pick as I’m a chef) , however I left it up to her. What a great choice! We arrived a wee bit early however this was not an issue, it would have been lovely to sit outside but it was a wee bit chilly. (Must be lovely in the summer ) We were seated quickly , given the menus, asked about allergies etc, all very professional. The ambience of the place was great, sun shining through the window, good music etc. Actually felt like we were in Spain. The young lady took our drinks order and returned to take our food order shortly after. There were three of us so we decided to order 9 dishes between us as they were doing a ‘buy two get the third free’ offer. We were given a complimentary potato salad as an ‘Amuse Bouche’ which was lovely. The food - We had - Home made bread, butter, balsamic vinegar and olives Garlic prawns Chicken strips Deep fried asparagus Black Pudding Croquettes Chorizo cooked in red wine Battered King Prawns Patatas Bravas Deep fried Brie & Pardon peppers All served with appropriate sauces and dips. Every dish was extremely tasty and we ate the lot! Unfortunately we didn’t have room for dessert as wee were too full, but they even make their own ice cream !, All in all a great experience and I wish I lived a bit closer as I would be in there at least a couple of times a week! I think you can just pop in for a drink too? We will definitely return here soon, Special mention must go to the young lady and the gentleman who served us. We were in Elenas’s last night for food, I have to say the Food was absolutely Delicious. We were well looked after by all the Staff, it is a Wee Gem 💎 of a Restaurant, Would thoroughly Recommend it to all.

Great Sunday Brunch Visited Sunday morning for family and friends brunch. We had eaten here before, but always later in the day. Nice selection of freshly made juices, my pineapple and mint was very good. I also tried the strawberry juice, first time that I’ve had fresh strawberry juice. We had quite a selection of dishes as we were a table of 10. The dishes came out of the kitchen one by one as they were ready, just like the later in the day food we’ve had here before. Would definitely return.

Lovely traditional Spanish food. Good service and very helpful say. The food really is excellent. I'd have posted more photos but the good was so good it didn't last long enough 😊 Highly Recommended.

Passionate It was clear that the everyone was passionate about the food that was being shared with us. The welcome and the service were warm and friendly. The food was a treat. I loved the roasted padron peppers with salt flakes and the pineapple & mint juice. The homemade ice cream was the best I’ve had in a long while. We can’t wait to bring friends and family to this wee gem.

Went for late lunch / early dinner for a birthday and had a lovely time. The staff were engaging and helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and the best way for us to order. Every dish was delicious and we were struggling to finish everything in the end. We were going to go somewhere else for a drink afterwards but had had such a lovely time we ended up just sitting outside in a rare blast of Glasgow sunshine with another bottle of wine and another delightful waitress. Can't wait to go back. 😋😋😋

Great wee authentic place. All the food was phenomenal and very friendly nice staff. Was great to see all the staff sit down together for lunch - just like you see in restaurants in Spain. Great laidback vibe. We will definitely be back!

Taste of Spain Lovely place. Menu of Raciones (bigger portions than Tapas) and Main Dishes. We had a super selection including meat balls, pulpo, padrons, and grilled vegetables . Just great. The place is close by Kelvingrove museums. Well worth a visit. We felt as if we had been transported to Spain, after three years without being able to visit!

Just popped in for a beer on a sunny evening and decided to have some food because it smelled so good. We were not disappointed - the staff were lovely, service excellent and the food was delicious. Calamari was perfect, which can be a hit or a miss. We will definitely be back and would recommend if you're looking for delicious, authentic Spanish food 😊

Decided to have lunch here and was not disappointed. Great host helped with the menu and feeding the kids including one who was a bit fussy so we're Ble to accommodate with some items from the breakfast menu. Ordered vegetarian, vegan and meat tapas dishes and all were delicious and portion sizes were great. Two plates were enough for lunch probably 3 plates for dinner. Churros were delicious. Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian selections and choices that can be vegetarian or vegan on request as noted on menu.

Toured Andalusia a few weeks ago so think the selection and quality of tapas at Elena's is very good, authentic & great quality (apart from the Glasgow weather outside, you could easily be in Spain!). Portions were good, staff knowledgeable, helpful and service quick. I'd recommend to anyone!

An exceptional lunch! The Spanish tapas were all excellent from the homemade meatballs to the fried zucchini to the sautéed mushrooms. The service was world class and we’d go back in a heartbeat!

Food was fine but when it came to ordering dessert the waitress informed us that we would have to wait 20 minutes before we could place our order as the chefs were having a break! One of our group complained, there wasn’t much by way of apology and we waited at least another 40minutes by the time some of the desserts arrived. It wasn’t explained when we booked, arrived or ordered that the chefs would have a break during our meal. The cleanliness of the ladies toilets was poor. Don’t think we’ll return or recommend this restaurant.

Had never visited this before but chose to eat here as it had many gluten free options. Was thoroughly impressed with the food and the decor in the restaurant. Service was fast and efficient but the only downside was that the food did not all come out at the same time. However, due to this and giving us the wrong asparagus, they refunded the coffee. My favourite dishes were definitely the calamari and pork Ribs. The chocolate mousse was also delicious and nothing like I expected. Would recommend and thank you to the lovely staff! Dietary restrictions: Nearly every item was gluten free - most vast selection I have ever seen.

Comfort food to the max. I loved Elena's. The food is original and has an authentic, home-made feel. I had delicious, flavoursome scrambled egg with asparagus, courgette fritters in a heavenly, crispy coating drizzled with honey, and scrumptious mussels in a creamy white wine broth. With generous portions and excellent service, this place is about to become a favourite!

First time visit to Elena's and have to say it was really very nice. Very authentic Spanish with Tapas dishes firing out swiftly from the kitchen which were both tasty and piping hot. Excellent Evening Great Staff Great Food We picked this restaurant right out of the blue as we were going to Glasgow to meet Lynda's daughter and husband. Lynda hadn't experienced tapas and it had been a while since I had so we went for it. Travelling in and out of Glasgow that afternoon we were delighted to hear from two separate taxi drivers that the restaurant had a great reputation so we knew we were onto a good thing. My poor sense of timing got us there half an hour early which wasn't a problem as we were shown to the bar and ordered drinks whilst our table was prepared. Another good sign was that there were quite a few people in the restaurant speaking Spanish so again we knew that if the local Spanish population were going there that it should be good. The decor is simple, rustic and really creates an atmosphere of unhurried enjoyable eating. We only had to wait around ten minutes and we were shown to our table and presented with an extensive menu. We were also presented with a small ball of potato with veg and spices in to try and it was marvellous. I asked how many dishes we should order between us to make a substantial meal and was told 6 and that was spot on. So we ordered, beer battered shrimps, asparagus in batter with blue cheese dip, meatballs, olives, mixed potato croquettes and Spanish Mediterranean chicken and were given some fabulous moist bread. Having polished it all off we went for what we thought would be smallish easy desserts to finish up with. I went for chocolate mouse that was presented in a large tall glass and was delicious. Lynda went for the chocolate brownie without the ice cream which was still massive, three good size portions with cream, needless to say we couldn't finish dessert. Add to all that 2 bottles of sparkling water and a large glass of white wine it all came to £62.25 which was exceptional value for money for a meal for two in Glasgow's West End on a Saturday night. Its clearly a popular venue for the locals too as their were many families of many generations in there clearly enjoying the food and themselves. Well done all at Elena's we will be back.

Brilliant food with big portions (for tapas). Really enjoyed our meal with highlights being pork loin, langoustines and octopus. Staff were very friendly and couldn't have done more for us. We'll be back for sure.

Had a lovely meal here for 1st time and was very impressed. Service was excellent and so was the cooked to order food. Prices are reasonable and the staff are all friendly and helpful. I'm a wheelchair user and they had no problem finding a place for it once I was seated at the table. Would definitely eat there again.

Elena’s has now taken over from Rioja as my favourite Spanish tapas restaurant in Glasgow. The good is so fresh and delicious! And authentically Spanish. A lovely vibe in this restaurant with efficient and friendly staff. I have to especially mention Hannah, who looked after us that night and did a fabulous job! I’ll be back and soon ❤️

Our best restaurant meal in months! A great meal: a wide range of raciones (more generous than usual tapas); we enjoyed every single one we chose as they were cooked to perfection to well-balanced recipes. Our after dinner coffees and liqueurs were enjoyed in a relaxed comfortably-fed haze (the Belmonte coffee and anis del mono liqueur were both great revelations). The staff were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic without ever being intrusive: a bonus that they were careful and skilled in checking that dishes would not trigger one person's allergy. Comfortable and unpretentious - I could not suggest a single improvement. My only regret is that I hadn't eaten there previously!

A great find near SWG3 We booked a table for four in Elena’s for a quick bite to eat prior to attending a music gig in SWG3. We were greeted warmly upon arrival, and shown to our seat straight away. Our drinks order was taken promptly, and our food order taken shortly afterwards. There were four of us, so we each selected a couple of tapas dishes to share. We ordered meatballs, patatas bravas, calamari and onion rings, prawns with marie rose sauce, black pudding, mushroom and spinach croquettes, mussels and chicken goujons. All dishes were delicious. A jug of hand made sangria helped the food go down well. Grear location, great food and great service

Three full plates + dessert for a tenner and good gluten free options WITHOUT a surcharge. Great value for money but not because of quantity alone--great food. It's different than the Mexican-style cuisine I'm used to back home but very, very good.

Great wee Spanish restaurant, serving authentic Spanish food and drinks. Spanish people were dining when we visited. Very relaxed atmosphere too and nice staff who I think were all Spanish. Try the Sangria, Chorizo, Patatas Bravas and Tuna salad.

Superb! As a southsider it's hard to tempt me over to the west end these days, we've got a lot of good restaurants on our doorstep. However, some friends recommended Elena's and it didn't disappoint! The waiter who greeted us was knowledgeable and friendly, the waitress who served our table for the rest of the evening even more so. The food was amazing and service was prompt. My only complaint was the TV screen showing the chef's cookery demonstration. I was reminded every 3 minutes that we should have also ordered the patatas bravas! We've booked again for Christmas eve so I'll get my chance! Fantastic evening, can't wait for round 2!!

The food was wonderful again - I am part Spanish so my standards are high and they were met. It was my husband's first time and he loved it.
