Siempre que viajo fuera, como algún día en restaurantes españoles y puedo afirmar que Elena's tiene los productos y las recetas más autenticas que he visto. Llamadme exagerado, pero nada más entrar olía a España. En fin, espero volver pronto. Bernardo.

Dropped in for something to eat after visiting Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum - only a short walk.
Had brunch. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
Food was tasty - portions were large.

Food was soooo gooood!! We enjoyed our tapas! Our fav is chorizo in cider. Didn't expect it to taste that gooood! We had 5 course tapas and all of it was amazing.

We'll be back As newbies to tapas we liked the look of this place. Staff guided us re choices and we enjoyed what we picked. 5 items from the menu was more than enough. Very tasty and delicious. Lovely wine with the meal, attentive staff and a good, family atmosphere.

My husband and I walked into Elena's today to enjoy a very filling and delicious Spanish Sunday Brunch. A beautiful little neighbourhood cafe/bar/restaurant on the far corner of Regent Moray Street, a stone's throw away from Kelvin Grove Gallery and Museum.
We were warmly greeted by Elena herself, she definitely brought a wee bit of Spanish sunshine to our table on a wet Glasgow morning. The rest of the team were equally friendly and attentive, giving us really good service and chat.
I had heard a lot of good things about the Brunch and I can safely say it was delicious. See photos below. One of the best brunches in the area, for sure, if not Glasgow. Authentic home cooked Spanish food. It was great to try something a little different.
My husband had mushrooms, patatas bravas and eggs, perfect for his vegetarian requirements, I had Spanish cheese and ham toastie with eggs and patatas bravas. It was so tasty and so big too. Excellent value. The eggs were done perfectly to allow you to dip your patatas bravas into the soft runny yolks. I also had a lovely freshly squeezed orange juice. I can see why the restaurant is so popular, deservedly so! Definitely worth checking out. Food standards and service were second to none. All served up in a homely wee Spanish restaurant. 5* Thank you Elena and team. We will be back.

Toured Andalusia a few weeks ago so think the selection and quality of tapas at Elena's is very good, authentic & great quality (apart from the Glasgow weather outside, you could easily be in Spain!). Portions were good, staff knowledgeable, helpful and service quick. I'd recommend to anyone!

Awesome place and real spanish food!!! I can see is my favourite spanish restaurant in Glasgow because the food taste as my home.country. reasonable price for the equality of the products(£15 per head eating 6 raciones for 4 people )

A really nice Spanish tapas joint/restaurant. Me and my lady thoroughly enjoyed the food on offer. It was nice sitting outside to eat also. The calamares were delicious, cooked perfect. The patatas bravas very nice with the garlic aioli. The mussels in a creamy white wine sauce were fantastic but the highlight was the goats cheese and walnuts..absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back..muy bien!

Had a lovely meal here for 1st time and was very impressed. Service was excellent and so was the cooked to order food. Prices are reasonable and the staff are all friendly and helpful. I'm a wheelchair user and they had no problem finding a place for it once I was seated at the table. Would definitely eat there again.

Amazing food, decent portions. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The background music is gentle and low, allowing a comfortable conversation and a quiet space to appreciate the food. Quiet restaurants are very rare, so this is my favourite place now.

First time visiting Elena's restaurant...welcoming to families with children. Lovely, delicious and authentic Spanish food. The kids give it 5-stars and so do we! Good location only five minutes from Kelvingrove museum. Hopefully we can come back next time we're in Glasgow.

Spanish Breakfast I been there many times for luch as they have the best paella in Scotland but was my first time in a Spanish breakfast, It was amazing! Staff very polite and I am so happy as the owner Elena"s was the chef that day. I will be back soon.

Authentic and delicious First time I’d been and won’t be the last. Paella was the best I’ve had outside of Spain. Having been to Galicia I can confirm the pulpo a la gallega was as authentic as it gets and the Iberian ham and calamari were both delicious. Two of our friends are veggie and they loved their veggie tapas - particularly the croquettes. Much better than going to a chain like Cafe Andaluz. The “coronarita” cocktails were also great fun. It’s not cheap but good Spanish food isn’t cheap and the service could have been a little better but it was very busy on a Saturday night. One of the pictures on the wall is definitely San Sebastián (I’ve stood on that view point!) and not Santander as the waiter claimed (haha!).

Elena’s has now taken over from Rioja as my favourite Spanish tapas restaurant in Glasgow. The good is so fresh and delicious! And authentically Spanish. A lovely vibe in this restaurant with efficient and friendly staff. I have to especially mention Hannah, who looked after us that night and did a fabulous job! I’ll be back and soon ❤️

Had never visited this before but chose to eat here as it had many gluten free options. Was thoroughly impressed with the food and the decor in the restaurant. Service was fast and efficient but the only downside was that the food did not all come out at the same time. However, due to this and giving us the wrong asparagus, they refunded the coffee. My favourite dishes were definitely the calamari and pork Ribs. The chocolate mousse was also delicious and nothing like I expected. Would recommend and thank you to the lovely staff! Dietary restrictions: Nearly every item was gluten free - most vast selection I have ever seen.

Reduced to 4 stars ** Update after 2nd visit: the food and everything was great again except them trying to cheat us on the bill .. they added two items to my bill of something that we never ordered. Of course they removed them when I pointed it out but did not even say sorry. So always check you bill! It’s a shame that they tinted such a great positive food and service experience. **Original review after 1st visit** Went to get a quick bite but ended up Staying for a few hours. Great service, yummy food for good prices. Loved all that we got - garlic prawns, prawn soup, garlic langoustines, house wine, meatballs. Love it so much that ended up coming back again the following day to try other items on the menu. Menu is pretty large. Paella can probably feed 4 not just 2 people.

Absolutely amazing place! Chose it for my birthday meal and it was the best choice in the whole of Glasgow! Our waiter, Simone, was so amazing she made me feel super happy, after some stressful weeks! So huge thank you to her!! Food amazing, service amazing, can't say any bad thing about it. One Word WoooW!!!! 1 German and 4 from Spain had dinner there. All dishes was amazing tasty and very kind service. Preis is also very good. Tuesday night meal Superb service, efficient and friendly but never intrusive. Good choice of drinks, quality of food was excellent. The food was true to the Spanish style, not just deep fried dishes. Good portion sizes, slightly larger than many tapas.

Passionate It was clear that the everyone was passionate about the food that was being shared with us. The welcome and the service were warm and friendly. The food was a treat. I loved the roasted padron peppers with salt flakes and the pineapple & mint juice. The homemade ice cream was the best I’ve had in a long while. We can’t wait to bring friends and family to this wee gem.

An amazing evening of great tapas and good friends!! Elena put on an amazing afternoon (and evening!) for us and friends to celebrate a big birthday. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble and the food and wine just kept on coming at a lively pace. The dishes served were all so varied and yet the one thing they did have in common was that they were all straight out of the top drawer! Her descriptions of the ingredients she uses and where she sources them from was quite incredible: little things like that definitely make the difference. I couldnt recommend Elena's enough. Thank you for a wonderful Sunday afternoon/evening!

Super service, lovely place and you feel like home, it was a little bit pricey but when you taste it you will know why. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

Cannot deny the food was absolutely incredible, really enjoyed every single dish! Happened upon this place because we were in the area for a wedding, so sadly unlikely we will return, but would definitely recommend and if we were back in Glasgow I’m sure we’d seek it out!

Excellent After reading some recent reviews i was a bit unsure about coming back. Glad i did though. We had a lovely night. Came here before and enjoyed it and it was our first revisit since lockdown. When we arrived we waited outside and someone came immediately to check we had booked, show us to a table and take our contact details. He explained that the table had been wiped down and offered an extra wipe down if we’d like it. Looking around i noticed the place has had a bit of a makeover since last visit. Very nice! Tables were more spaced out because of distancing. Our drinks order was taken quickly and shortly after our food order was taken. There was no problem of excessive wait. People were arriving, being told the safety procedures and shown to tables as we waited so there seemed to be a good system in place. Our food came out in good time. Clams were delicious and we ordered bread to mop up that amazing sauce. The fried courgettes in red wine glaze are fantastic. After our food we ordered another couple of glasses of wine and chilled before moving on. A really good and enjoyable meal and i have to say in total contrast to some recent reviews and this was a Saturday night. Remains a firm favourite and the effort to keep people safe and happy appreciated. Back soon!

Perfect meal at Elena's! Booked to go before a concert at the Hyrdo and the food and service were amazing. The gentleman who was our server was so knowledgeable about each of the dishes and made great recommendations for us. By far some of the most authentic tapas in Glasgow. Can't wait to return.

This was our second time visiting Elena's while on a trip to Glasgow, and we've always had an excellent experience. Great food, excellent service, and caters amazingly for those who need gluten-free dishes. We will be back.

Great Sunday Brunch Visited Sunday morning for family and friends brunch. We had eaten here before, but always later in the day. Nice selection of freshly made juices, my pineapple and mint was very good. I also tried the strawberry juice, first time that I’ve had fresh strawberry juice. We had quite a selection of dishes as we were a table of 10. The dishes came out of the kitchen one by one as they were ready, just like the later in the day food we’ve had here before. Would definitely return.

Our best restaurant meal in months! A great meal: a wide range of raciones (more generous than usual tapas); we enjoyed every single one we chose as they were cooked to perfection to well-balanced recipes. Our after dinner coffees and liqueurs were enjoyed in a relaxed comfortably-fed haze (the Belmonte coffee and anis del mono liqueur were both great revelations). The staff were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic without ever being intrusive: a bonus that they were careful and skilled in checking that dishes would not trigger one person's allergy. Comfortable and unpretentious - I could not suggest a single improvement. My only regret is that I hadn't eaten there previously!

I was there on Friday with my wife then Tuesday with my Spanish class so that's me been three times(I was there before Christmas with the class) I would definitely recommend it the food🥘🥧🍲🍤 is a AMAZING!! as are the drinks🍺🍷😉 👍

Wonderful dinner in friendly atmosphere near Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum While exploring University of Glasgow and Kelvingrove Park in the afternoon, we were thinking of having dinner nearby. We chose Elena’s place and we were not disappointed at all. Elena is the owner of this Spanish, Mediterranean restaurant and helped us to choose items including non-alcoholic drink. All the items were super tasty and reasonably priced. We sat outside as evening weather was very comfy. Elena and her team members checked several times if everything is ok or we need anything. We felt welcomed and made a very good conversation. We will surely come back when we get opportunity. Thank you Elena and your team members.

Visited today with husband and kids. Staff friendly and attentive. Food delicious. We are frequent visitors to Spain and enjoy tapas. This is one of the best we have eaten outside of Spain. Highly recommend goats cheese, spinach and mushroom croquettes and meatballs. Free appetiser was a nice touch too. We will be back!

A very special evening My husband and I chose Elena's for dinner on our wedding anniversary and we had a lovely evening. The food was excellent (as always), the waiter was very friendly and he even gave us two glasses of delicious cava on the house to celebrate our anniversary! Thank you very much for making our evening so special!

We went for dinner here before a gig at swg3 so we only had a few dishes and a bottle of wine as we didn't have a lot of time. I think it was Elena who seated us and she was very nice. The wait staff were also very polite and brought us a little cup of soup while we waited.

I ordered the blackberry sparkler cocktail, and my boyfriend had a beer, Estrella. I could have had about 3 glasses, the cava was lovely 🤣 and the fresh fruit puree was a nice touch. We had patatas bravas, calamari , mixed croquettes, and the jamon iberico and manchengo cheese. Ooh, and a yummy Rioja.

We would definitely come back to try some main dishes when we have time to enjoy.

I liked everything here. Service was available but unobtrusive and tactful. A complimentary tapas is included and changes daily. The raciónes offered here are larger than tapas. I asked about the dishes from the north and heard the 'Rabas' are Calamari with onions. The adobitos which I think was lightly battered pieces of hake tasted fresh and light. Apparently it's a southern dish. The grilled vegetables were artistically presented. I liked it here enough to stay for pudding. The crema catalana was light and fluffy and I left completely full. Decor here is light, airy and relaxed, neither rustic nor brash modern, a bit like being near the sea. Mixed, fairly quiet clientele and a couple of locals at the bar. It felt exactly like a nice Spanish restaurant in Glasgow! Update: Oct 2019. I've eaten here twice now. Since my first visit it's won awards. One girl had an attitude unsuited to front of house service but apart from that everything still good.

Had a most enjoyable lunch. Feed was absolutely tremendous. Loved the thin cut calamari but the onions are not a good companion. The Pulpo was the best I’ve had in this country. The crema Catalan was to die for, the wine was excellent value, the goats cheese salad was tremendous. Patatas bravas good but not a potato I would have chosen. The service was excellent. A little quiet which was surprising as the food was fantastico!

Visited during lunch so was lovely and quiet. Very nice clean, welcoming restaurant. Alcohol free drinks were lovely. Food was delicious especially the desserts. Service was great, staff very friendly. Would definitely come back.

Came here with 5 people and overall was a really great experience. Service was friendly and reasonably efficient. Kept us topped up with drinks and were quick to clear plates as required. We ordered 11 plates in total, including the calamari, mussels, deep friend courgettes, chicken skewers, churros, mixed croquettes, Iberian ham. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Also offers a good selection of drinks. Definitely a place to go for dinner if you find yourself in the west end.

Oustanding! Seven years after opening, Elena's remains outstanding. The selection of larger-than-average tapas is extensive. Prices are reasonable. Service is friendly--and on a busy Friday evening Elena personally served us! We hope the chicken stuffed with vegetables (a special for the night) makes it onto the regular menu. Location is just across the road from Kelvingrove Museum.

Lynda hadn't experienced tapas and it had been a while since I had so we went for it. Travelling in and out of Glasgow that afternoon we were delighted to hear from two separate taxi drivers that the restaurant had a great reputation so we knew we were onto a good thing. My poor sense of timing got us there half an hour early which wasn't a problem as we were shown to the bar and ordered drinks whilst our table was prepared. Another good sign was that there were quite a few people in the restaurant speaking Spanish so again we knew that if the local Spanish population were going there that it should be good. The decor is simple, rustic and really creates an atmosphere of unhurried enjoyable eating. We only had to wait around ten minutes and we were shown to our table and presented with an extensive menu. We were also presented with a small ball of potato with veg and spices in to try and it was marvellous. I asked how many dishes we should order between us to make a substantial meal and was told 6 and that was spot on. So we ordered, beer battered shrimps, asparagus in batter with blue cheese dip, meatballs, olives, mixed potato croquettes and Spanish Mediterranean chicken and were given some fabulous moist bread. Having polished it all off we went for what we thought would be smallish easy desserts to finish up with. I went for chocolate mouse that was presented in a large tall glass and was delicious. Lynda went for the chocolate brownie without the ice cream which was still massive, three good size portions with cream, needless to say we couldn't finish dessert. Add to all that 2 bottles of sparkling water and a large glass of white wine it all came to £62.25 which was exceptional value for money for a meal for two in Glasgow's West End on a Saturday night. Its clearly a popular venue for the locals too as their were many families of many generations in there clearly enjoying the food and themselves. Well done all at Elena's we will be back.

Read the reviews and as we were across in Glasgow visiting both the SEC and Kelvingrove Museum [bit of an uphill climb during our surprisingly warm/hot summer 😉 ] we decided to give it a try. Not disappointed. In fact we were delighted by both the food and the service.

Could not fault the attentive service when we arrived, opting for the cool of an inside table. [We had phoned ahead to ensure a table and make sure it was open & had to leave a message. Learnt later that Elena's daughter was having to cope on her own during a busy patch.]

The 2 tapas + drink is a true bargain at £15! That gave us six to choose. The youngest in our party had opted for the tomato soup of the day and we were all treated to the Spanish equivalent of an 'amuse bouche' . Recommend the brie & walnuts, meatballs and especially the grilled vegetables which were worth the wait.

A glass of red, coffee made up two of the drinks in the package. The freshly squeezed orange was not included amongst the options but was refreshing and good value nevertheless.

All in all, a success. Looking forward to trying other tapas options next time.

First time visit to Elena's and have to say it was really very nice. Very authentic Spanish with Tapas dishes firing out swiftly from the kitchen which were both tasty and piping hot. Decided to have lunch here and was not disappointed. Great host helped with the menu and feeding the kids including one who was a bit fussy so we're Ble to accommodate with some items from the breakfast menu. Ordered vegetarian, vegan and meat tapas dishes and all were delicious and portion sizes were great. Two plates were enough for lunch probably 3 plates for dinner. Churros were delicious. Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian selections and choices that can be vegetarian or vegan on request as noted on menu.

Food is excellent. Add to that the staff having an impromptu dance. If they are that happy at their work then they must be doing something right!😄 A must try for authentic Spanish food. Vegetarian options: Plenty available.

Comfort food to the max. I loved Elena's. The food is original and has an authentic, home-made feel. I had delicious, flavoursome scrambled egg with asparagus, courgette fritters in a heavenly, crispy coating drizzled with honey, and scrumptious mussels in a creamy white wine broth. With generous portions and excellent service, this place is about to become a favourite!
