We went for dinner here before a gig at swg3 so we only had a few dishes and a bottle of wine as we didn't have a lot of time. I think it was Elena who seated us and she was very nice. The wait staff were also very polite and brought us a little cup of soup while we waited.

I ordered the blackberry sparkler cocktail, and my boyfriend had a beer, Estrella. I could have had about 3 glasses, the cava was lovely 🤣 and the fresh fruit puree was a nice touch. We had patatas bravas, calamari , mixed croquettes, and the jamon iberico and manchengo cheese. Ooh, and a yummy Rioja.

We would definitely come back to try some main dishes when we have time to enjoy.

We will be back! How wonderful this simple, clean restaurant with first-class service. The seafood was delicious, it was obviously fresh and to finish we had some strawberry and pineapple Daiquiri prepared by the restaurant owner's fairy hands. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great wee Spanish restaurant, serving authentic Spanish food and drinks. Spanish people were dining when we visited. Very relaxed atmosphere too and nice staff who I think were all Spanish. Try the Sangria, Chorizo, Patatas Bravas and Tuna salad.

Went for dinner to this restaurant and was generally very pleased with the experience. The staff were all so kind and attentive. There doesn't seem to be a server dedicated to your table, so everyone helps out if you need something. The peppers were a bit over salted, but I'm sure with beer that would have been amazing. I recommend trying the chorizo, octopus and homemade ice cream. We'll be coming back for the paella when time allows and also to try their weekend Spanish breakfast.

Delicious food. We will be back. Great food and service. Almost could have been in Spain with the sunshining outside and the delicious tapas style food. We opted for fish - fish stew and the hake with asparagus done two ways as a side. Generous portions with just enough room for a homemade icecream to share. Price pretty reasonable too.

Without a doubt, the best tapas I've eaten in Glasgow We came here for Saturday lunch and arrived at 12:30. We were quickly seated and offered drinks. As in some other places, even in Spain, staff knowledge of dry and medium sherry was scanty. I showed the waiter a photo on my phone of Tio Pepe by Gonzalez Byass to no avail. We did notice eventually they had a Manzanilla and Pedro Ximénez available on the menu, so it was resolved and we had Manzanilla and an Estrella Damm (Bottled as there was a problem with the draught beer). We ordered and the food came very quickly: Croquetas, Gambas al Ajillo, Chorizo a la Sidra, Ensalada de Pimientos asados and Esparragos trigueros empanados sobre Ali-Oli. All were perfect in presentation and flavour and I doubt if they could be better anywhere. Wine was reasonably priced at £22.50 for a Rioja Rosado. This was followed by Crema Catalana, coffee and Soberano brandy. Altogether a memorable meal. The only fly in the ointment was the service, which was helpful but rather lumbering. Our waiter, I guess, was fairly new and had to be reminded at times. This would not prevent our going back, however.

I really can't recommend her in 100 paragraphs but in summary she regained and was able to help me from my financial mess to a stable and financial balance. I invested my last $1000 dollars and I was restless because that was my last hope but behold she was able to help me generate the sum of $12,400 dollars all within a week. My boyfriend and I had a lovely lunch this February. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive to your needs. Lots of information given about menu items and portion sizes. My boyfriend had the seafood soup which he loved and the battered prawns which were excellent. I went for the seafood stew which was also very tasty. The portion sizes were reasonable. I particularly like the fact that it is all fresh seafood not frozen. Because I love fresh seafood I would definitely go back. I thought the prices were on the high side but as I love fresh lobster, prawns and clams, I think it is worth a treat from time to time. Love that it's dog friendly. Our overall experience was fantastic and I would recommend this gastro pub .

Had a lovely meal here for 1st time and was very impressed. Service was excellent and so was the cooked to order food. Prices are reasonable and the staff are all friendly and helpful. I'm a wheelchair user and they had no problem finding a place for it once I was seated at the table. Would definitely eat there again.

Sympathetically decorated offering authentic Spanish Tapas. Great menu selection, fine Spanish Beers on tap & good Spanish wine selection. Well worth a visit.

A great find near SWG3 We booked a table for four in Elena’s for a quick bite to eat prior to attending a music gig in SWG3. We were greeted warmly upon arrival, and shown to our seat straight away. Our drinks order was taken promptly, and our food order taken shortly afterwards. There were four of us, so we each selected a couple of tapas dishes to share. We ordered meatballs, patatas bravas, calamari and onion rings, prawns with marie rose sauce, black pudding, mushroom and spinach croquettes, mussels and chicken goujons. All dishes were delicious. A jug of hand made sangria helped the food go down well. Grear location, great food and great service

Excellent Evening Great Staff Great Food We picked this restaurant right out of the blue as we were going to Glasgow to meet Lynda's daughter and husband. Lynda hadn't experienced tapas and it had been a while since I had so we went for it. Travelling in and out of Glasgow that afternoon we were delighted to hear from two separate taxi drivers that the restaurant had a great reputation so we knew we were onto a good thing. My poor sense of timing got us there half an hour early which wasn't a problem as we were shown to the bar and ordered drinks whilst our table was prepared. Another good sign was that there were quite a few people in the restaurant speaking Spanish so again we knew that if the local Spanish population were going there that it should be good. The decor is simple, rustic and really creates an atmosphere of unhurried enjoyable eating. We only had to wait around ten minutes and we were shown to our table and presented with an extensive menu. We were also presented with a small ball of potato with veg and spices in to try and it was marvellous. I asked how many dishes we should order between us to make a substantial meal and was told 6 and that was spot on. So we ordered, beer battered shrimps, asparagus in batter with blue cheese dip, meatballs, olives, mixed potato croquettes and Spanish Mediterranean chicken and were given some fabulous moist bread. Having polished it all off we went for what we thought would be smallish easy desserts to finish up with. I went for chocolate mouse that was presented in a large tall glass and was delicious. Lynda went for the chocolate brownie without the ice cream which was still massive, three good size portions with cream, needless to say we couldn't finish dessert. Add to all that 2 bottles of sparkling water and a large glass of white wine it all came to £62.25 which was exceptional value for money for a meal for two in Glasgow's West End on a Saturday night. Its clearly a popular venue for the locals too as their were many families of many generations in there clearly enjoying the food and themselves. Well done all at Elena's we will be back.

Superb! As a southsider it's hard to tempt me over to the west end these days, we've got a lot of good restaurants on our doorstep. However, some friends recommended Elena's and it didn't disappoint! The waiter who greeted us was knowledgeable and friendly, the waitress who served our table for the rest of the evening even more so. The food was amazing and service was prompt. My only complaint was the TV screen showing the chef's cookery demonstration. I was reminded every 3 minutes that we should have also ordered the patatas bravas! We've booked again for Christmas eve so I'll get my chance! Fantastic evening, can't wait for round 2!!

Came here with 5 people and overall was a really great experience. Service was friendly and reasonably efficient. Kept us topped up with drinks and were quick to clear plates as required. We ordered 11 plates in total, including the calamari, mussels, deep friend courgettes, chicken skewers, churros, mixed croquettes, Iberian ham. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Also offers a good selection of drinks. Definitely a place to go for dinner if you find yourself in the west end.

Passionate It was clear that the everyone was passionate about the food that was being shared with us. The welcome and the service were warm and friendly. The food was a treat. I loved the roasted padron peppers with salt flakes and the pineapple & mint juice. The homemade ice cream was the best I’ve had in a long while. We can’t wait to bring friends and family to this wee gem.

Oustanding! Seven years after opening, Elena's remains outstanding. The selection of larger-than-average tapas is extensive. Prices are reasonable. Service is friendly--and on a busy Friday evening Elena personally served us! We hope the chicken stuffed with vegetables (a special for the night) makes it onto the regular menu. Location is just across the road from Kelvingrove Museum.

Food was soooo gooood!! We enjoyed our tapas! Our fav is chorizo in cider. Didn't expect it to taste that gooood! We had 5 course tapas and all of it was amazing.

Elena’s has now taken over from Rioja as my favourite Spanish tapas restaurant in Glasgow. The good is so fresh and delicious! And authentically Spanish. A lovely vibe in this restaurant with efficient and friendly staff. I have to especially mention Hannah, who looked after us that night and did a fabulous job! I’ll be back and soon ❤️

Delicious Loved Elena's we were staying in Glasgow for the weekend and googled Spanish tapas and ended up here and I'm so glad we did! We sat outside in the sunshine and the lady who served us(the owner I think?)was lovely knowledgeable and recommended fabulous wine and tapas, we had the tomato salad, hummus, mushroom & spinach croquettes, prawn in chilli oil and iberian ham with cheese and it was all delicious we cannot wait to return.

Lovely cosy atmosphere and friendly staff here. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Food was amazing with good size portions, you'll only need two plates. Dietary restrictions: They have a separate fryer here for gluten free people.

Fantastic seafood and great staff. Just had the finest meal in Europe in years, My son, daughter in law and I had the most wonderful sea food platter. Absolutely crammed with lobster, langoustines, crab, prawns , cockles, mussels and the tenderest squid I have tasted. Easily fed 3 but could also serve 4. Brilliant seafood at a fantastic price, will be back, also serving staff were brilliant and laid back. Best of luck in the future!

Super service, lovely place and you feel like home, it was a little bit pricey but when you taste it you will know why. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

Spanish Breakfast I been there many times for luch as they have the best paella in Scotland but was my first time in a Spanish breakfast, It was amazing! Staff very polite and I am so happy as the owner Elena"s was the chef that day. I will be back soon.

Food was fine but when it came to ordering dessert the waitress informed us that we would have to wait 20 minutes before we could place our order as the chefs were having a break! One of our group complained, there wasn’t much by way of apology and we waited at least another 40minutes by the time some of the desserts arrived. It wasn’t explained when we booked, arrived or ordered that the chefs would have a break during our meal. The cleanliness of the ladies toilets was poor. Don’t think we’ll return or recommend this restaurant.

An amazing evening of great tapas and good friends!! Elena put on an amazing afternoon (and evening!) for us and friends to celebrate a big birthday. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble and the food and wine just kept on coming at a lively pace. The dishes served were all so varied and yet the one thing they did have in common was that they were all straight out of the top drawer! Her descriptions of the ingredients she uses and where she sources them from was quite incredible: little things like that definitely make the difference. I couldnt recommend Elena's enough. You can’t fail to enjoy lunch here When you walk in you know it’s going to be good at this lovely Spanish restaurant. The smell is wonderful, decor homely, and nice seating that is not cramped at all. Then comes the friendly family feel service, and then great great food. We ate for three with a bottle of wine and when the bill came it felt totally reasonable on the wallet. Take your friends or family. You can’t fail to enjoy lunch here. It’s great

Absolutely amazing place! Chose it for my birthday meal and it was the best choice in the whole of Glasgow! Went for brunch today and the restaurant was incredibly quiet but NO IDEA how the food was absolutely wonderful and the service was 10/10. This placed should be absolutely booked out for breakfast. Will 100% be back.

Forget the Brunch Club across the street - this is THE place to go for brunch! I ordered potatoes with chorizo and fried eggs and the portion was HUGE and the chorizo was DELISH. Kiddo got mini churros and a hot chocolate which came with freshly roasted marshmallows! Price was great too - around £25 for two, and we left with our tummies happily full. Even directed some of the people wandering around nearby to try it out. Will definitely be back, and already recommending to all my friends.

Authentic and delicious First time I’d been and won’t be the last. Paella was the best I’ve had outside of Spain. Having been to Galicia I can confirm the pulpo a la gallega was as authentic as it gets and the Iberian ham and calamari were both delicious. Two of our friends are veggie and they loved their veggie tapas - particularly the croquettes. Much better than going to a chain like Cafe Andaluz. The “coronarita” cocktails were also great fun. It’s not cheap but good Spanish food isn’t cheap and the service could have been a little better but it was very busy on a Saturday night. One of the pictures on the wall is definitely San Sebastián (I’ve stood on that view point!) and not Santander as the waiter claimed (haha!).

Tuesday night meal Superb service, efficient and friendly but never intrusive. Good choice of drinks, quality of food was excellent. The food was true to the Spanish style, not just deep fried dishes. Good portion sizes, slightly larger than many tapas.

Excellent! I went here with my Daughter, Son in law and Grandson on Wednesday 12th of April after a great visit to the Riverside museum. My daughter picked the venue (it’s usually my job to pick as I’m a chef) , however I left it up to her. What a great choice! We arrived a wee bit early however this was not an issue, it would have been lovely to sit outside but it was a wee bit chilly. (Must be lovely in the summer ) We were seated quickly , given the menus, asked about allergies etc, all very professional. The ambience of the place was great, sun shining through the window, good music etc. Actually felt like we were in Spain. The young lady took our drinks order and returned to take our food order shortly after. There were three of us so we decided to order 9 dishes between us as they were doing a ‘buy two get the third free’ offer. We were given a complimentary potato salad as an ‘Amuse Bouche’ which was lovely. The food - We had - Home made bread, butter, balsamic vinegar and olives Garlic prawns Chicken strips Deep fried asparagus Black Pudding Croquettes Chorizo cooked in red wine Battered King Prawns Patatas Bravas Deep fried Brie & Pardon peppers All served with appropriate sauces and dips. Every dish was extremely tasty and we ate the lot! Unfortunately we didn’t have room for dessert as wee were too full, but they even make their own ice cream !, All in all a great experience and I wish I lived a bit closer as I would be in there at least a couple of times a week! I think you can just pop in for a drink too? We will definitely return here soon, Special mention must go to the young lady and the gentleman who served us. Great restaurant with varied menu. Lots of good options to share as a group. Had the seafood paella for first time last night, tasted great and portion is huge. Dog friendly too and nice staff.

First time visiting Elena's restaurant...welcoming to families with children. Lovely, delicious and authentic Spanish food. The kids give it 5-stars and so do we! Good location only five minutes from Kelvingrove museum. Hopefully we can come back next time we're in Glasgow.

Went for late lunch / early dinner for a birthday and had a lovely time. The staff were engaging and helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and the best way for us to order. Every dish was delicious and we were struggling to finish everything in the end. We were going to go somewhere else for a drink afterwards but had had such a lovely time we ended up just sitting outside in a rare blast of Glasgow sunshine with another bottle of wine and another delightful waitress. Can't wait to go back. 😋😋😋

Cannot deny the food was absolutely incredible, really enjoyed every single dish! Happened upon this place because we were in the area for a wedding, so sadly unlikely we will return, but would definitely recommend and if we were back in Glasgow I’m sure we’d seek it out!

It’s a shame that they tinted such a great positive food and service experience. **Original review after 1st visit** Went to get a quick bite but ended up Staying for a few hours. Great service, yummy food for good prices. Loved all that we got - garlic prawns, prawn soup, garlic langoustines, house wine, meatballs. Love it so much that ended up coming back again the following day to try other items on the menu. Menu is pretty large. Paella can probably feed 4 not just 2 people.
