What a fantastic meal my husband and I had, we had various types of tapas and they were all delicious, loved the decor, great friendly service and can’t wait to go back.

Consistently good, and authentic food Thank you for another lovely meal yesterday. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and looked after us well. The food was wonderful again - I am part Spanish so my standards are high and they were met. It was my husband's first time and he loved it. I was brought here on my hen weekend a few months ago and we all had a fabulous time. We'll be back. Thanks again 🌟💖🥘🍷

We were warmly welcomed by name as we entered having booked online and said we had a dog. They were so dog friendly, seating us in an area with more space and bringing a bowl of water quickly. We enjoyed non alcoholic sangria. So great to have a range of choice of non alcoholic drinks. Also a good range of vegetarian options. I’d highly recommend the home made ice cream.

Went for dinner to this restaurant and was generally very pleased with the experience. The staff were all so kind and attentive. There doesn't seem to be a server dedicated to your table, so everyone helps out if you need something. The peppers were a bit over salted, but I'm sure with beer that would have been amazing. I recommend trying the chorizo, octopus and homemade ice cream. We'll be coming back for the paella when time allows and also to try their weekend Spanish breakfast.

Lovely traditional Spanish food. Good service and very helpful say. The food really is excellent. I'd have posted more photos but the good was so good it didn't last long enough 😊 Highly Recommended.

Forget the Brunch Club across the street - this is THE place to go for brunch! I ordered potatoes with chorizo and fried eggs and the portion was HUGE and the chorizo was DELISH. Kiddo got mini churros and a hot chocolate which came with freshly roasted marshmallows! Price was great too - around £25 for two, and we left with our tummies happily full. Even directed some of the people wandering around nearby to try it out. Will definitely be back, and already recommending to all my friends.

I visited this restaurant today for lunch. Seems all trace and trace and social distancing in place, all staff were wearing masks. Were given a table outside, service was a bit slow.. but to be fair the restaurant was busy, one of our drinks was forgotten and the staff had to be reminded. Food did not come out all at once, so we were unable to share and enjoy... which was a shame... as the food was great, hot and enjoyable. Everywhere seemed clean and tidy, staff were friendly and polite.... would I recommend, yes 100%, will I be revisiting... again yes 100%.

An amazing evening of great tapas and good friends!! Elena put on an amazing afternoon (and evening!) for us and friends to celebrate a big birthday. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble and the food and wine just kept on coming at a lively pace. The dishes served were all so varied and yet the one thing they did have in common was that they were all straight out of the top drawer! Her descriptions of the ingredients she uses and where she sources them from was quite incredible: little things like that definitely make the difference. I couldnt recommend Elena's enough. Very Impressive 1st visit I have walked past Elena's hundreds of times while heading to Finnieston to eat, I will never make that mistake again. My husband and I went for lunch around 3PM on Tuesday 28th July. The restaurant was busy and thankfully we where able to get a table without a booking. Our host was friendly and attentive despite doing all front of house duties solo. This man never stopped the whole time we where there. Service was fast and friendly and despite how busy our host was he still made sure we where enjoying our meal and quickly responded to additional food and drinks requests. We ordered a variety of dishes including, chicken, prawns, tortilla and goat's cheese everything was delicious. The bread basket was fresh, tasty and plentiful, perfect to mop up the oil from our delicious garlic prawns. The little Russian salad presented by our host was a delicious surprise, a nice little touch. I'm sure this will be the 1st of many visits to Elena's as we thoroughly enjoyed every dish, drinks, service and the atmosphere all for a very reasonable price. Great value for money.

We were a group of 4 and had a variety of dishes, all of which were very good. It was a lunchtime and was quite quiet but I would imagine it would be much busier in the evening. The service was friendly, helpful and efficient .I would definitely go back.

Spanish Sunday Brunch -Oh, you want to! Well established for evening and later in the afternoon, Elena’s also has a cracking Spanish flavoured brunch menu. Freshly made tortilla like nothing you’ve tasted here ❤️💃🏻 Loads of other options, down to fruit salad and sandwich mixto (ham and cheese toasty 😄). Really lovely staff and a relaxed environment to start your day ☀️

I went here on Halloween with friends. I had the octopus main as a starter and the seafood platter. The octopus was ok, didn't taste of much seasoning. The seafood platter with lobster was HUGE. It was £60 and have to say it's the biggest platter I've ever seen, you'd normally pay this amount for something a third of the size as there was no salad padding underneath, it was seafood down to the plate! I've grown used to platters being for one so was pleasantly surprised. There was so much I took a doggie bag for lunch the next day. My friends all had the tapas which they said was ok. They also had sirloin steaks and although they asked for well done, all were medium and one of the guys couldn't eat a big part of his as he doesn't like pink meat so eat around the pink bits. Overall it was fantastic value for money though it was more quantity over quality (except for the platter, which was lovely)

Passionate It was clear that the everyone was passionate about the food that was being shared with us. The welcome and the service were warm and friendly. The food was a treat. I loved the roasted padron peppers with salt flakes and the pineapple & mint juice. The homemade ice cream was the best I’ve had in a long while. We can’t wait to bring friends and family to this wee gem.

A very special evening My husband and I chose Elena's for dinner on our wedding anniversary and we had a lovely evening. The food was excellent (as always), the waiter was very friendly and he even gave us two glasses of delicious cava on the house to celebrate our anniversary! Thank you very much for making our evening so special!

Go for the food. Just go! The food is excellent Two of us shared three dishes, a salad, a pork dish and a grilled veg dish. Good sizes and unbelievably tasty. We were there early evening and it was still quiet, but even still the place has a good atmosphere and the service was great. I will be back!

We were in Elenas’s last night for food, I have to say the Food was absolutely Delicious. We were well looked after by all the Staff, it is a Wee Gem 💎 of a Restaurant, Would thoroughly Recommend it to all.

This was the best Spanish food ive had outside of Spain. I grew up in southern Spain and the food here is on par. Will be back as soon as we can. Cannot fault the restaurant or food at all.

Great tasting tapas on the becoming very trendy Old Dumbarton Road! Seats outside to enjoy a wine in the sun or ample seating inside for a cozy get together with friends. Fast service and great selection of food and drinks

Truly authentic Spanish food. Everything is made fresh even the ice creams. We chose 2 dishes each some olives and bread and we enjoyed every one. We couldn't pick a favourite. We were given a free tapas which was a lovely touch. We also tasted a selection of deserts which were fantastic.
The service was friendly also. We will return. Highly recommended

Comfort food to the max. I loved Elena's. The food is original and has an authentic, home-made feel. I had delicious, flavoursome scrambled egg with asparagus, courgette fritters in a heavenly, crispy coating drizzled with honey, and scrumptious mussels in a creamy white wine broth. With generous portions and excellent service, this place is about to become a favourite!

A little bt of Spanish quality in Glasgow This visit was a birthday meal for a mix of vegetarian, vegan and meat eaters. Elena's catered for it in an easy and relaxed way. The first table we were offered was too close to the servery and the toilets. Having pointed this out we were moved to a more appropriate table for our party. The mix tapas was interesting and well presented, the salmon was nicely cooked and the baby potatoes and vegetables well cooked. The paella was vegan and my first outing with a non meat paella, however it was savoury, tasty and very enjoyable. The Rioja was served at room temperature, a good wine fragrant with violets and wild herbs, with raspberry and dark fruit and then spicy leather and some chocolate thoroughly enjoyable.

Delicious Loved Elena's we were staying in Glasgow for the weekend and googled Spanish tapas and ended up here and I'm so glad we did! We sat outside in the sunshine and the lady who served us(the owner I think?)was lovely knowledgeable and recommended fabulous wine and tapas, we had the tomato salad, hummus, mushroom & spinach croquettes, prawn in chilli oil and iberian ham with cheese and it was all delicious we cannot wait to return.

Lovely cosy atmosphere and friendly staff here. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Food was amazing with good size portions, you'll only need two plates. Dietary restrictions: They have a separate fryer here for gluten free people.

This is a gem! Lots of well-cooked Northern Spanish food, with a lot of extras prepared in-house, rather than bought in jars. Lots of tapas, but the paellas are signature dishes. Drink/cocktail menus good too. Busy weekends, but quiet midweek - surprising given the quality and authenticity of what's on offer.

First time visiting Elena's restaurant...welcoming to families with children. Lovely, delicious and authentic Spanish food. The kids give it 5-stars and so do we! Good location only five minutes from Kelvingrove museum. Hopefully we can come back next time we're in Glasgow.

Fantastic, Amazing, Fabulous and all the other good things. This was the most fabulous place. The food was excellent, great choices and brilliant recommendations from the staff. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially our waitress Nidia who was an absolute super star. . The various croquettes were stunning and the garlic prawns were to die for, we should have just ordered more bread to mop up that amazing sauce. Thank you for a fabulous evening!

Tuesday night meal Superb service, efficient and friendly but never intrusive. Good choice of drinks, quality of food was excellent. The food was true to the Spanish style, not just deep fried dishes. Good portion sizes, slightly larger than many tapas.

Extremely welcoming - great hospitality Our first time at this restaurant and Spanish food isn't a regular for us. the place is clean and welcoming the food is great. We had some sharing tapas and played it quite safe. We had things like very simple goats cheese and bread which probably doesn't sound much but it was excellent. The highlight however was the people. They were incredibly welcoming and you just had the feeling they were really happy for you to be there and focussed on making your visit pleasant. we'll be back for the Paella when we have more time

I initially invested a total of $500 over a period of 5 weeks. My husband and I walked into Elena's today to enjoy a very filling and delicious Spanish Sunday Brunch. A beautiful little neighbourhood cafe/bar/restaurant on the far corner of Regent Moray Street, a stone's throw away from Kelvin Grove Gallery and Museum.
We were warmly greeted by Elena herself, she definitely brought a wee bit of Spanish sunshine to our table on a wet Glasgow morning. The rest of the team were equally friendly and attentive, giving us really good service and chat.
I had heard a lot of good things about the Brunch and I can safely say it was delicious. See photos below. One of the best brunches in the area, for sure, if not Glasgow. Authentic home cooked Spanish food. It was great to try something a little different.
My husband had mushrooms, patatas bravas and eggs, perfect for his vegetarian requirements, I had Spanish cheese and ham toastie with eggs and patatas bravas. It was so tasty and so big too. Excellent value. The eggs were done perfectly to allow you to dip your patatas bravas into the soft runny yolks. I also had a lovely freshly squeezed orange juice. I can see why the restaurant is so popular, deservedly so! Definitely worth checking out. Food standards and service were second to none. All served up in a homely wee Spanish restaurant. 5* Thank you Elena and team. We will be back.

Superb! As a southsider it's hard to tempt me over to the west end these days, we've got a lot of good restaurants on our doorstep. However, some friends recommended Elena's and it didn't disappoint! The waiter who greeted us was knowledgeable and friendly, the waitress who served our table for the rest of the evening even more so. The food was amazing and service was prompt. My only complaint was the TV screen showing the chef's cookery demonstration. I was reminded every 3 minutes that we should have also ordered the patatas bravas! We've booked again for Christmas eve so I'll get my chance! Fantastic evening, can't wait for round 2!!

Food was soooo gooood!! We enjoyed our tapas! Our fav is chorizo in cider. Didn't expect it to taste that gooood! We had 5 course tapas and all of it was amazing.

First time visit to Elena's and have to say it was really very nice. Very authentic Spanish with Tapas dishes firing out swiftly from the kitchen which were both tasty and piping hot. The restaurant has a great vibe and the staff are welcoming and efficient. Can't fault it at all. Elena's Spanish Bar and Restaurant - recommended 👍🏻

Tasty food that is 2x larger than tapas, 2½ plates would be what I recommend. The dessert topped off a great meal. And the service was top class! Will definitely be back.

We went for dinner here before a gig at swg3 so we only had a few dishes and a bottle of wine as we didn't have a lot of time. I think it was Elena who seated us and she was very nice. The wait staff were also very polite and brought us a little cup of soup while we waited.

I ordered the blackberry sparkler cocktail, and my boyfriend had a beer, Estrella. I could have had about 3 glasses, the cava was lovely 🤣 and the fresh fruit puree was a nice touch. We had patatas bravas, calamari , mixed croquettes, and the jamon iberico and manchengo cheese. Ooh, and a yummy Rioja.

We would definitely come back to try some main dishes when we have time to enjoy.

We'll be back As newbies to tapas we liked the look of this place. Staff guided us re choices and we enjoyed what we picked. 5 items from the menu was more than enough. Very tasty and delicious. Lovely wine with the meal, attentive staff and a good, family atmosphere.

Delicious food. We will be back. Great food and service. Almost could have been in Spain with the sunshining outside and the delicious tapas style food. We opted for fish - fish stew and the hake with asparagus done two ways as a side. Generous portions with just enough room for a homemade icecream to share. Price pretty reasonable too.

Super service, lovely place and you feel like home, it was a little bit pricey but when you taste it you will know why. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

Went for late lunch / early dinner for a birthday and had a lovely time. The staff were engaging and helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and the best way for us to order. Every dish was delicious and we were struggling to finish everything in the end. We were going to go somewhere else for a drink afterwards but had had such a lovely time we ended up just sitting outside in a rare blast of Glasgow sunshine with another bottle of wine and another delightful waitress. Excellent Evening Great Staff Great Food We picked this restaurant right out of the blue as we were going to Glasgow to meet Lynda's daughter and husband. Lynda hadn't experienced tapas and it had been a while since I had so we went for it. Travelling in and out of Glasgow that afternoon we were delighted to hear from two separate taxi drivers that the restaurant had a great reputation so we knew we were onto a good thing. My poor sense of timing got us there half an hour early which wasn't a problem as we were shown to the bar and ordered drinks whilst our table was prepared. Another good sign was that there were quite a few people in the restaurant speaking Spanish so again we knew that if the local Spanish population were going there that it should be good. The decor is simple, rustic and really creates an atmosphere of unhurried enjoyable eating. We only had to wait around ten minutes and we were shown to our table and presented with an extensive menu. We were also presented with a small ball of potato with veg and spices in to try and it was marvellous. I asked how many dishes we should order between us to make a substantial meal and was told 6 and that was spot on. So we ordered, beer battered shrimps, asparagus in batter with blue cheese dip, meatballs, olives, mixed potato croquettes and Spanish Mediterranean chicken and were given some fabulous moist bread. Having polished it all off we went for what we thought would be smallish easy desserts to finish up with. I went for chocolate mouse that was presented in a large tall glass and was delicious. Lynda went for the chocolate brownie without the ice cream which was still massive, three good size portions with cream, needless to say we couldn't finish dessert. Add to all that 2 bottles of sparkling water and a large glass of white wine it all came to £62.25 which was exceptional value for money for a meal for two in Glasgow's West End on a Saturday night. Its clearly a popular venue for the locals too as their were many families of many generations in there clearly enjoying the food and themselves. Well done all at Elena's we will be back.

I was there on Friday with my wife then Tuesday with my Spanish class so that's me been three times(I was there before Christmas with the class) I would definitely recommend it the food🥘🥧🍲🍤 is a AMAZING!! as are the drinks🍺🍷😉 👍

Read the reviews and as we were across in Glasgow visiting both the SEC and Kelvingrove Museum [bit of an uphill climb during our surprisingly warm/hot summer 😉 ] we decided to give it a try. Not disappointed. In fact we were delighted by both the food and the service.

Could not fault the attentive service when we arrived, opting for the cool of an inside table. [We had phoned ahead to ensure a table and make sure it was open & had to leave a message. Learnt later that Elena's daughter was having to cope on her own during a busy patch.]

The 2 tapas + drink is a true bargain at £15! That gave us six to choose. The youngest in our party had opted for the tomato soup of the day and we were all treated to the Spanish equivalent of an 'amuse bouche' . Recommend the brie & walnuts, meatballs and especially the grilled vegetables which were worth the wait.

A glass of red, coffee made up two of the drinks in the package. The freshly squeezed orange was not included amongst the options but was refreshing and good value nevertheless.

All in all, a success. Looking forward to trying other tapas options next time.

Authentic and delicious First time I’d been and won’t be the last. Paella was the best I’ve had outside of Spain. Having been to Galicia I can confirm the pulpo a la gallega was as authentic as it gets and the Iberian ham and calamari were both delicious. Two of our friends are veggie and they loved their veggie tapas - particularly the croquettes. Much better than going to a chain like Cafe Andaluz. The “coronarita” cocktails were also great fun. It’s not cheap but good Spanish food isn’t cheap and the service could have been a little better but it was very busy on a Saturday night. One of the pictures on the wall is definitely San Sebastián (I’ve stood on that view point!) and not Santander as the waiter claimed (haha!).
